Resetting SES light

I read the sticky on resetting the SES light. Are there any other ways for resetting it? I can't sit there and jam on the gas pedal over and over again while my car is screaming for me to stop. Someone PLEASE tell me there's another way I can reset it without going to the dealer.

The engine is off during the whole procedure. It's absolutely silent. There should be no "screaming" involved at all. After your statement I have serious concerns that you don't quite understand the documented reset procedure.

Seriously, this task may be beyond you. You need to take it to a professional and pay them to diagnose your problem.

Go to a different dealer. They pick and chose as they see fit. A CAI should not void anything.
