How much is my car worth ?

I might sell it, so i jsut wanted to ask how much you guys think i could get it for. I didnt want to put it in the classified section since im not selling yet, i just wanted to see what a 6th gen can go for. I know maximas have bad resale value.

Specs-
-2004 Nissan Maxima
-Navigation
-Elite seating
-Black exterior
-Orange looking leather interior
-heated seats
-headeed steering wheel
-sky view
-7600 miles ** Low Miles**
-Automatic transmission

Well the car is FULLY Loaded, its all stock, no modification, used only to go to work everyday which is 2 miles away, and went on a road trip once to canada, thats about it, its been garage kept since new, im the 1st owner, it never been in any accidents, clean title. How much do you guys think i can sell it for ??

Whenever I want the value of a car, I always check Edmunds, KBB & NADA, and then average the values of all three. That will typically give you a good idea of what to expect.

You should get some pretty nice bucks for it. If you sell it on your own to someone you would be better off. Actually I look on cras.com and one of the pros was resale value. You could take that with a grain of salt. The value drops faster when there is a new body style. Also if you have an extended warranty you can get some of your money back if you don't transfer it over to someone.

I just sold mine yesterday. 04 with Navigation, leather, bose, heated seats, etc. Didn't have the driver package (heated steering wheel/mirror, tcs) or the elite package.

I had 30k miles on it, and it was in fantastic condtion, no dings, scrathes, interior was spotless etc. Also had a set of 4 new tires with only 2k miles on them.

Dealer offered me $20k for it. They were selling simliar ones for about $25. I spent about 2 weeks trying to sell it by listing only on craiglist at $22.5k. KBB was roughly $21.6k. Ended up selling it for $22k.

Hope this helps.

Hmm, I guess I can't expect much for my 04 6 speed with 58k. I was thinking I could get 20k for it but it doesnt look like it from these post.

in the strict economics sense it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Your on the East Coast and in New York of all places. You should get a good dollar for it. With the package and miles you have on that car i wouldnt take anything less than$23,500. You should find some very intrested people because that is a very hard max package to find. I think with ease you should sell it for $24,000. Private. Dealer 23k on a trade in. And i would sell it on my dads lot for $26,500. Hope that Helps, ( 22 years My whole life in the used car business).

What I would do (and have done) is go to AutoTrader.com and find listing for the exact vehicle. Make sure you select only the year and similar trim levels. This will give you an idea of what the current market demands for the car, what dealers and private sellers and listing and what you may get for yours.

NADA and Kelley are good but they are only listing what a bank will loan against a car. This doesn't necessarily mean that this is what the car is worth, OR what the market commands.

Start high and drop your price gradually if you need to.

For what it's worth, at one of the caddy dealers I service somebody traded in a 04 max elite package with 27K miles on it yesterday. The dealer gave him $21 for the trade.

It was a clean car too....So, I'd say anywhere from 21 and up.

Good Luck

Not happening. They are going for that on the dealers lot. They have to make money also. They will throw you 18-19k to see if you bite. Dealers make most of there money on used cars so giving you 22k for a car they only can sell for 24k is foolish. I love my max but the car is not in high demand except 6 speeds. Used auto 04 are everywhere because of the first year problems with them.....

Well my friend im in Northern VA and my father owners a used car dealership where we sold 2004 model maxima's this year in the 24-26,000 range.

His car is a Elite SE burnt orange seats. This is a rare car. oh and it has 7k miles. As posted above a orger saw a trade in this week for a 04 with 27k miles and it went for 21,000 traded in.
So when i say he can get 22-24,000 on a trade in, its because the stealership will sell it for 26500 easy. You dont understand the customers for this certain type of car and packaging.
