~~Creaking Noise Coming From Driver Door...~~

For about a month or so I've noticed this irritating creaking noise coming at times from the driver door. It's similar to the sound a matress makes once it's seen a share of 'fun'. Needless to say it's very annoying. I mainly notice it when I do some type of turn. What can be the cause of this because I said this at times gets a little bit annoying not to mention embarrasing when you have others in your new car and it sounds like an old bed. I'm pretty sure this is covered under warranty.

Any suggestions as to what has caused this?

Thanks.

Open it up, I was getting a rattleing from the passenger by the glove box and found out it was the connector to the power mirror. Hot glued that sucker down now no rattle. It's so quiet its scary....

I have the same problem- just noticed it last week. I'm still unsure if it's from the door or the seat(driver's side). It's making me freakin' crazy and sounds just like that squeaky bed you described. If I can't fix it, I'm bringing it to the dealer. Good luck w/ yours; please let me know if you find a solution- I'll do the same.

It was the driver door in my case, everytime I hit the brakes I got a creaking noise..noticed it didnt happen when the door was open however...(by driving and braking with the door open) I ended up spraying WD-40 on the locking mechanism...and any other contact points between the door and frame...sure enough, that stopped it.

I also noticed today that it's simply with every little body movement that the car makes that I hear that but after a while the noise goes away. Nonetheless it's still irritating.

You may need the hinges or lock catch adjusted for a tighter fit

I dont think so because since I lubricated those parts it never happened again and its been like a year now. I tried tightening things in the first place to no avail, that was my first thought.

I had the exact same problem. Lubed it myself and no change. Took it to the dealer and they tried to lube it twice and no dice. They ended up replacing the hinges. I was told that some of the hinges on the '04 model were defective. Take it to the dealer, my friend! Mine sounded like a 1970 Chevy Coupe! LOL

Good luck...

this is the main reason why me buying another Nissan will never occur once more. Car's performance is one of the best in its class but the car's quality in itself is a disappointment as I've stated over and over.
