ergh..........

This car needs slotted hood heat exhaust vents. A scop is just too far out there for a luxo car.

Fo shizzle. I been lookin for one of dems. I bet it makes mo mad crazee powa with it strapped to the hood like TJ Hooker.

That scoop just does not belong on a Maxima. Take it off, or forever feel the torment of Maxima owners who have good taste.

CM.

Come on fellas tell me how you really feel.

To be honest, I didn't like it that much either but since I went through the trouble to buy it $15 Ebay and have it painted=$Free, I figured I might as well post my findings. Good or bad. This scoop doesn't follow the lines of the hood at all, actually the are exactly the opposite of what might be needed here. I think subtlety is the key, something recessed but that requires a whole hood, ala this link http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ighlight=scoop

Oh well, every experiment is not a success and since the scoop is just sitting on the hood there is no harm.

Well that's how it usually goes, one person says something and the others pile on especially if it's something they don't like.
It's only a picture, "no Maximas where actually hurt in the making of this film."

I agree, its too far back. Im not feeling it either and Im pretty liberal - Im working on my roof spoiler still. So . .. . try photochopping it so its closer to front.

They used to come on the GTX grand prix and some of the high end tuner cars like AMG, RENNTECH and Carlson Mercedes.

They look fantastic, very low key, remove hot air from the engine bay and prevent the hood from lift during hi-speed bursts.

So YEAH it DOES NEED THE VENTS!

Why stop with a hood scoop, get a roof scoop ( you never know) and then they make an attachment to your exhaust tip so you can have the blow off sound of a turbo? WTF
