PAC vs Peripheral... Please help

Long story short... I ordered a PAC AII-NIS2 at a local shop based on feedback I read on this forum. Finally got a call back from the shop and they advised me that it is on back order and there not sure when they will be able to get it for me. They did tell me that they have a Peripheral PXNI in-stock and that it does the same thing as the PAC AII-NIS2. Has anyone on this forum had any experience with the Peripheral aux input? Please advise of any positive or negative experiences. Thanks in advance.

Here is a link for the Peripheral PXNI if you want to check it out.

Never seen or heard about it. However based on what I read on activetuning.net it should work.

I do not have first hand experience with both units but from what i read here on the forum there are a few threads addressing this issue. They both are very similar in nature and both achieve the same result. I think the only real difference is the manufacturer.

My response is not 100% sure but does demonstrate some positive feedback.

Also if you do not have obligation to buy from them yet, you should check on ebay as there is an abundant source of PAC NIS2 units currently available for purchase.

hope this helps..good luck!

I have the PAC, and from the outside it looks almost exactly like the PAC. If I remember right the PAC adapter was also cheaper.

PAC vs. Peripheral

They are exactly the same unit. I have both and they do exactly the same thing. I believe the "new" version allows usage of Sat. Radio if you have that option. Both are exactly the same in looks, performance and function.

The only reason I have both is that when I ordered the PAC back in December the it was backordered...I think that's when they were switching over to the newer version. Well...to make a long story short...I got ants in my pants, and found that the PXNI was available....so I ordered that...and just my luck they both arrived within a couple days of each other.

So now I either need to get another Nissan vehicle to use it in...or sell one off on Ebay. hahahah.

They both work fine...however I would check the iPod sticky for some tips on improving performance and fine tuning.

Peripheal and PAC are the same. The Peripheal unit costs a little more, at least here it does and i have heard that it is of "better" quality over the PAC. I know alot of the Audio shops here in KC carry Perripheal. You might want to go to the Audio section of the Org, those guys would prob know. Good Luck!

For what it's worth, we've sold plenty of the PXNI units and have very happy customers We've got them in stock, and if you guys would be interested, we can do a GB to bring the price down a little. Would need at least 8 people though and we can do $95 shipped. If you guys end up gathering up the people, make sure to PM or e-mail me so I can set it all up.
