3rd gear?? WOT problems!!

Guys i have a bit of a concern here.
1st gear strong all the way through the rpm
2nd gear the same
3rd gear great till about 3krpm when there is a "slowing" of the rpms where the motor will seem not to rev quick and then continues.
It kinda hard to explain what is going on..other than a flat spot @3k-3300.with my foot at WOT!
weird b/c that when the motor pulls stromg in all the other gears .
I am beginning to think that the INJEN intake is crappy, and i am considering swapping it see if it makes a difference. WHat do you guys think.
I have done the engine ECM reset and still does it.
PLEASE....PLEASE someone shed some light on this.

If its b/c of the intake will my CE y pipe fix this flat spot? I just ordered it.
Thanks
VQ

i had a ce y pipe with a berk intake and 3rd gear and up my car was a beast...but when i threw sp2 mufflers on the car seemed to be too free flowing and lost alot of first and second gear...so i took off the y pipe which helped me down low...but in 3rd gear i dont know if its just in my head but i do feel there is somewhat of a flat spot now.
