Engine Dress Up Question

I bought a stainless steel sleeve kit for the engine hoses, I noticed others on the org have it. What did you use to trim the sleeves to size? I ruined 2 scissors and 3 metak shears trying to cut the braided hose!!

Let me know how that install ends up going, Maximob. I am getting ready to do the same thing, it looks good. Where did you get your kit at? I saw them at Schuck's for around $50. I assume it's universal fit...

Well, I ended up only doing one hose right now because of how hard it was to trim. It took 1.5 hrs to do the short radiator hose. I ended up snipping the stainless steel one strand at a time...WAY time consuming. I need to find a better cutting method.

I got the kit at Autozone for $50. It is a generic sleeve kit with 5 different size sleeves and colored covers for the ends. Looks pretty cool! I need to find a way to post pics. I'm not signed up anywhere where I can post them. I used ramberg's engine as my insiration (thanks punisher!!)

Dremel tool with a fiberglass cutoff wheel has always worked well for me. I've had to cut some rubber hoses with a steel mesh inner layer at work. The Dremel is the only tool I found that does it cleanly and precicely. Should work the same on a full mesh hose.
