Spring is here and I finally got some mods completed that I had on my list. I have to get some better pics of the car, just threw some together since I had it clean.

1. Progress rear sway bar
2. Progress springs installed.
3. Black front bumper insert painted silver to match the rest of the bumper.
4. New wheels
5. Nismo Intake

I stayed with the 18" wheels. Tires for 19 and 20's get a bit pricey.

Looking sharp. The 18s are lighter weight than 19 or 20 so u dont lose performance.

Sounds good, also there will be a meeting in Denver in case you didn't hear about it.

19in at 20lbs, they are not normal chromed 19in wheels then. What kind do you have?

Jury is still out on that one. I haven't done a dyno with it. I don't think it sounds as vicious at the Fujita but you can definitely hear it and feel it when it kicks in.

According to this article: http://www.nissanperformancemag.com/.../nismo_intake/

"Not only does the NISMO intake for the Altima make power but it makes more power than any intake we've ever tested. How does 12.9 hp and 13.52 lb ft of torque at the wheels sound? Yeah, hard to believe but those are just the peak numbers. At 4800 RPM's the NISMO intake made 25.6 hp over stock and an astounding 28.11 lb ft more of torque. For once we're short on words about something. " ........Don't know how true that is of the Maxima since they tested it on an Altima. I think I will take out the "flying saucer filter though and see what happens.

I don't know if that's a good plan, unless it never rains over there, or you're planning to make provisions to make sure that water never gets near the intake. The whole point of the diverter is to grab any liquid/moisture that made it up that far and prevent it from getting through the throttle body and hydrolocking the **** out of your car.

But I know there are other people out here with Injen CAIs that don't have that filter and never had problems. You can try it and see what happens though...

I'm liking the Progess equipment. I've hit a couple of left hand corners at a pretty good clip.......stayed rock solid on the road.

As far the flying saucer filter goes, I would have to really go through some deep water to submerge the filter. One bit of advice I did take was to leave the lower fender panel on. I had contemplated taking it off.
