All Billet Grilles are created equily? or not?

Hey guys... I am looking for a nice billet grill setup for my Maxi...

come to think of it there are several places you can get a billet grille

1. Trenz
2. Stillen

I was wondering how many of you ever purchased a grille on ebay? I saw some people have nice grilles...

thank you so much!

My upper and lower grilles are both available on eBay. I've had no problems with either of them.

My Trenz is pretty oxidized after a year and one winter.....Im kinda suprised, I didnt think it required any upkeep, they should have used stainless.

Boone,
I logged onto the website that you gave for the grilles and they only offer the top portion...Did you get the bottom portion from somewhere else. I would really like to purchase both of them.

I got my 3 pc set off of ebay... quality is good,..... isn't going dull like our chrome roof strips.

I got a second factory grille,... cut out the horrrible teeth of the grille, connected the 2 pc's on each side... and then installed it on my car.

I purchased it from this seller.....

Boone, I have that same grille on my Max, but mine came with it from the dealer so I wasn't sure what type it was until this post. I really like it on the Onyx. Where did you get that lower grille? I might want to add that some day. Thanks

OMG been looking for a look like that. Mind if I bite the idea? I hate the stock grill and the others lack something. I think it's depth. That one has it all.

Maybe if you polished it once a week this would have not happened. I had my for over 2 years and it was still looking new when I sold it.

See the shine on these grilles.

Ditto on the polishing, I only cleaned mine with Windex and a paper towel. After 2 years of use my Trenz still looks great (even though it now sits in my garage ).

Warren, nice picture...

I want the one active tuning was supposed to have ready 4 months ago...i was put off by all the people having to wait months on end for the redline one. Oh well...im sure you are right about polishing the thing. I noticed the black paint is chipping off the other side of the grille too...not a big deal but its actually visable when you stand and look down at the grille.

ebay. This grille is very heavy duty.

We were on our way to NC on the NJ trnpk when a tire tread from a big rig came from under teh car in front of us and smacked right into the grille.. It bent it up quite a bit, but if not for this grille we would have had a lot more damage. Oleg found it from ebay. I believe from grille4u.com

What do you use to polish your grille? I think mine is stainless steel.

Thanks in advance

Thanks, Boone. I usually prefer Meguiars products. Hey, I have that same Grille you have and really like it, but where did you get that lower grille? Your's look like a perfect match in your pictures, but couldn't find the lower grille from the same seller. TIA

Be prepared to go through a few of those fine tooth blades... but it comes out well,...

It has help up well also. Be careful though not to scratch the outer chrome....

Excellent! Thanks for the info. That might be my next project. Doesn't seem like it would be very hard either, but hard to tell from ebay description.

The hardest thing is fitting the two clips that hold the grille in place over the stock lower grille slats. Just make sure you don't scratch the paint with the new grille. The edges on it are pretty sharp.
