Yeah, I always see the drilled side out on cars.

Then again I only see the drill holes or dimples? in the very first pic. Even on the Nismo wheel pics, front and back I only see the slotted part, not the drilled part?

No. They have slots on bot inner and outer sides of the rotor. The angle of the slot depends on the type of wear you want.

rotation clockwise and slot / right = bite = shorter pad life more aggressive braking
rotation clockwise and slot \ left = sweep = longer pad life less brake bite

The leading edge of the slot should be the one biting into the pad. Depends on how u want your breaks to work. If your sweeping with the slot you get better pad life but decreased breaking.

The way I have it setup is for maximum breaking efficiency.

Look at the 1999 skyline! Same size rotors and the only thing it has is the slots with the bite angle not the sweep angle.

To replace the rotors I have to remove 2 Bolts and pop the calipers off.

Ok, I thought that the vanes in the rotor should be situated such that air is 'pumped' out? That and if turned around the dimples would be facing outwards...

No..... See the Rotors in the Wilwood BBK are 13.6 inches versus the stock 12.5 inch rotor and almost 1.25 inches thick versus 1 inch.

They also have slotted vaines that swoop air into the channel as opposed to plain vertical vaines without the swoop. The added size and directional vaines cool the rotor faster then stock..............

Therefore you will not find them at the group buy, but.............

you can get a replacement set from fastbrakes.com

PS- the OE 17" rims have enough side clearance but the balance weight hits the top of the Willwood Caliper. Interestingly enought they dont need a spacer like the OE 18" to clear the caliper..... Shame cause I preffer winter driving on the 17" as the ride is much smoother.

Need to replace one spacer as it creates a wheel wobble when driving.

Wobble gone, also look at first post for pics.

I also swapped rotors aorund for sweep as opposed to bite, I wanted them to cool better.

Kam-

I just spoke with Brian at FastBrakes. He's a good guy to deal with, spent a long time explaining the pros and cons of different setups with me, and helped me decide my best options. I was only going to order $20 rebuild o-ring seals, but ended the call spending 350.00 bucks for the rebuild o-rings, new set of dimpled/slotted rotors 12.2" 1.25" thick, rear dimpled/slotted oem sized rotors, and a set of BP10 Pads. I think I got an awesome deal, just didn't think I'd ended up spending what I did. Just wanted to say thanks for the connection, Brian's a good guy!

of course I'll post pics when I'm done!

Yes I'm running the Wilwood SuperLite Caliper set. I guess that's the model number for those pads.

I got this set from a local orger who had it on his 96' s/c'd max at the time. They just needed new o-rings. When I spoke to Brian and sent him the pictures of them he said "Yeah I remember those, I built about 10 sets of those for you Maxima guys a while back." I was glad that he was on top of it, cause I had no idea what model it was and which part numbers would work.

I have a picture on my cardomain. Unfortunately, I can't get to my site from work to put the pic up, but I'll get to it tonight.

O rings? How do you take it apart? Do you pop the pistons out?
