SE weight

Being in the military and going through a transfer and using my car as moving I had to have it weighed empty/full. I stripped the trunk of everything and had in between a 1/4 and E in fuel and the car weighes 3360.

All the above, no, I was not in it. Gas weighs what, 6-7 lbs a gallon? So with 20 galls in it that is another 120-140 lbs...

Plus I have my mods, not sure if the stock Y pipe/exhaust weighs more than the aftermarket mods.

Think the aftermarket exhaust weighs less? When I put the CAI it seemed to remove about 50lbs and 3 miles of plastic...

The aftermarket y weighs less because the stock unit has pre-cats, and the aftermarket piece does not. It's just a pipe with bungs, amde of a lighter material. Did you change it out?...

When I changed my headers.... .. Wow... those boat anchor stock manifolds were damn heavy comapred.

Speaking of headers... I Emailed hotshots yesterday asking if the altima ser headers would fit the 04-06 maxima and they said they would. I always thought they would but didn't wanna dish out 700 bucks for em. I also remember someone saying that the oem exhaust weights a bit more than the greddy.

The precats are heavy and the stock manifolds/y are cast iron soo.. .. As for the rest of the exhuast the difference in weight is probably very minimal compared to the difference in manifold/y pipes.

So I guess the 3485lbs for SE on Nissan website is accurate w/ jack, spare, and stock other stuff. 120+ lbs less, did your car fell lighter/ quicker?

When I left the scales the computer said 50 miles to empty and the low fuel light came on so I did not romp on it to feel the weight difference. At 3360 lbs I have no desire to push it!

I know the Cattman exhaust is lighter than OEM but I do not know by how much. Im guessing by about 40lbs. I also removed my spare tire and jack, another 60 lbs or so. I also have 10lbs per rim lighter rims, another 40 lbs. My calipers are 10 lbs lighter each, so another 20 lbs. I bet im damn near 3200 lbs.

So in order to get to 3200, the car would have to lose 250 lbs, not including spare and tire. With less gas, lighter battery, exhaust, seats, rims, brakes, etc, u can get to 3200.

Damn my 220lbs 6'0ft frame seems like a dump truck to that diesel.

But check out the GVWR on a 2008Z Enthusiast.

No wonder it feels way slower then the max. Jesus, 600lbs? WTF. is this possible.
