Also congrats on getting through to Hotshot, I know ever since I put a set on a 6th Gen, they have been on backorder and Hotshot has not been answering there phone???

I've already worked with Intercrew, they did my springs and sway bar, and I know they will be cheaper. I heard Jotech is expensive.

Never had this type of experience ordering something from the net before.

Only one other issue I have with my exhaust. I don't have a true cat-back. Instead, I had the muffler shop cut the resonator out and replace it with straight pipe(they reused the flanges(welded) and screws). Also, I had the stock mufflers cut and replaced with Magnaflows. Yes, I still have that dimple in the y-pipe to the mufflers. I hate to butcher my exhaust again.
I like Greddy's cat-back but don't like the mufflers. I think mine look better:

I get so many compliments on these pipes. I hate to buy the Greddy cat-back only to not use the mufflers that come with it. Maybe I can have a shop custom bend some pipe for the cat-back.
i'm with deus on that one...cattman...lolxz
buh chern hasn't gotten any SES light from the headers and y-pipe cause he's put on the O2 sensors, from wuh i've read from him
however i wanted to kno...
after moding anything in the car as little as the intake to CAI do we have to reset the ECU?
and do u have to flash the ECU to feel power gain or will you feel it no matter wuh nd just not the full potential?
and is resetting the ecu a permenant solution or do u have to always reset it every week or so?

Guess Christmas came early for me.
Like I said in an earlier post, I will call both Jotech Performance and InterCrew in Garland and get a price before I decide who installs it. Maybe I can squeeze a dyno in.

Let me know how much they charge for the install. I have a buddy who just moved to Dallas and he was gonna install them for me but if I can find a shop for a reasonable price I may do that. You should definately do a before and after dyno if possible.

I am thinking the same.

Rear precat
Removing back cat near firewall; it laughed at a 1" impact... had to torch them off! Other than that, home free; just move everything out of your way for install
BTW was anyone else's rear cat THAT much of a pain in the A$$ to get off, the front one, and the top rear came of without much of a problem.

I told you guy's it would be a b!tch, took us over an hr just to remove the rear heatshield, bottom line, if you don't remove it, you cannot remove the rear precat (againt the fire wall). and we removed the bolts but we could not get it to fit through the subframe. I PM chad and gave hime my top recommendations which were as follows...
The hotshot headers come with the wiring extention kit, just protect from weather with a good high temp tape or heat shrink.
No drilling required, did not use any fiberglass thermo.
4 things may help things go faster if using a lift for the install and car prep.
Remove all plastic engine covers
Remove the entire hood
Remove Grill
Remove windshield wiper blades and the whole plastic/metal frame against the fire wall.

Drop the forward subframe, easier access and removal of precats.
Problem we had was the rear precat (closest to firewall) could not be unbolted untill you removed the heat shield and we had to cut it to get it out and then unbolted the precat and removed as one piece.
The front precat was the easiest to unbolt but we could not remove it as one piece so we had to seperate it and it was a super b!tch because the where like fused together. Over an hour alone trying to seperate them (bigger hammers). Anyway dropping the sub frame should solve all of this...

This prep work will make the install go faster and allow easier access to hard to reach bolts and removal of heat shields (a b!tch).
Last, O2 sensors where also a b!tch to get off the pipes, there is a special socket available for removal of o2 sensors, has a slit (small open face) for the wire to run up.
This is everything we pulled off, overall weight shaving after swap out will be 35lbs...

OK have to bolt, going to reinstall my Manifold now that it's polished...
Good luck

Good news and bad news. UPS delivered my headers today. Bad news is that I noticed something jingling in the box as the delivery guy carried it. Up close I noticed the box was damaged with one end half open. The headers are fine but the bag containing the gaskets, bolts, wiring kit, etc was also damaged. I managed to find all the bolts but I seem to be missing (2) O2 bungs.
Is this item common? Do you think my shop should have them? And are they expensive?
I've already e-mail Hotshop with this problem. Don't really want this to delay the install. I have an appointment with InterCrew in Garland Wednesday.

06 kit should be in today, is diffent from 04; my y pipe different and have extra sensor. Ill have pics to show precat and diff. y- and sensor as soon as correct set is in (work has my Maxima time pretty slim).
The 2 head bolts that face down had to be torched... and yes, that precat is D-E-D dead.
I removed dam near EverythinG to get more room; motor mounts, drive shaft, unbolt sway bar, all heat shields... btw. Did anyone put heat shields back on over headers? weld?
mad maxima chemist, back to work..

HAHAHAH, in Poland we call that a biotch slap
which would make Chernmax a maxima pimp
LOLThease things seem like a hard install, any idea how they affect emissions, I know u loose 2 precats, but does the single cat do a decent job? My old car had only 1 cat and it passed emssions.
with a half a tank worth of alkihol
