Other then the fact he had them installed, he has shared ZERO engine and performance mod info (to my knowledge) with the Org. We put the Hotshots in blind with a hope and a prayer...

sorry I have been gone for a while..... I know how much people like to hear my opinions..... anyways..... I talked to my nissan service department allready about the nismo cams and they said they will not void your warrenty as long as you get them installed by a nissan service department...... it's not the part that they are worried about it's the install.... the part is warrentied by nismo and nissan so there is no worry.... work should be covered by the service department.... of course with any install I would ask before doing it unless your warrenty has expired.....

Nope. But with Chern's at 253, 260 seems a bit low with cams. Then again, he has Stillen headers. I'll ask next time I see him, or when he's on again.

deus have you ever had your car dynoed? after the headers i would really like to see numbers that your car puts out compared to cherns since you have the 6 speed.

And chern now that youve had the headers on for a little time how do they actually measure up in everyday driving, do they feel like they made a real difference?

I have never had it dynoed. I'm guessing Im in the 290-300 hp range with intake, manifold back exhaust, ECU reflash.

our auto cars have like a 16-20% loss to the wheels, at 20% Chris will be at 317hp crank..

mines will be at 287hp crank, at 16% I'm at 273hp crank and Chris would be at 302hp..

so unless you are about 250 to the wheels, 300 at the crank will be almost accurate..

I hate rating crank power, do a dyno and get wheel HP..

They make a big difference in sound and feel and since they are DynoJet tuned with an APEXi Super AFC-II computer, my ECU cannot recal for a lessor feel. It's been nothing but consistant power and pull. Extremely happy...

Now Hotshot has updated their site but they claim to have headers for 05-07 maxima. Weird, they still dont have the info right. It has a pic of the alti ser headers so I assume its the same part and they just changed the part number.

I noticed that too last night. I would suggest before anyone orders to give them a call and explain.

It has the be the headers that were test fitted on chern's car. Even when I emailed them a while back the lady posted the altima ser ones and said these fit the 04-06 maxima, they just hadnt updated their site. And I dont think they did the R&D but heard through the grapevine that the altima ones worked. Only thing is they have it as 05-07, should be 04-06 and possibly through 07 if the exhaust manifold design didnt change any. I sent them an email so we'll see what they say.

That seems to be their MO. I was the test mule, and all they did was take the 2002-2004 headers and added the EGR bung. When I got the P1273 (Lean Bank 1)/p1284 codes (Rich bank 2), they were not very involved in solving the issue.

Congratulations on an awsome mod, I gained 20+ HP/Tq at the wheels when I installed them. I guess the SES light is just a bonus for now. If you guys do not get the SES light there may be adifference in what is acceptable for your ECUs vs the Altimas. I think all the 2005+ Altimas that installed HS headers have gotten the codes. According to the consult I ma not off that much, our ECUs want to see 14.7:1 AFR.

Chern, I put in my order for the headers last week. I got a notification my order was shipped on 7/21. I used the tracking number they gave me and called UPS and there is no indication that the order was actully shipped. How was your ordering experience?
