When I installed my endlinks, I didn't have to adjust them and I thought Racingline recommend that you don't???

Hmmm I guess I skipped over that tidbit of info. It would seem to make sense that you would want them the same length as the OEM ones. I'm not sure what the difference in effect would be if they are shorter or longer?

If you extend them, you will put preload on the swaybar. I wouldnt do that unless you have stock suspension. The endlinks were designed to fit lower suspensions by default and to be adjusted back to OEM suspension if necessary.

So they should be as short as possible, like they were shipped.

If your ride is lowered YES.

If your ride is on OEM height, extend them to same size as OEM endlinks.

I meant extend. Now I know what entend means.
Anyway, I had the endlinks installed already so this morning I removed them
and did the extension. I have stock suspension. After extending
the endlinks, it was a bit more challenging to put them back on. The
key is to pry one end of the RSB down and then insert the endlink.

I posted my driving impression a few posts back. But that was
with the endlinks not extended. After extension, there is a
noticable difference. I guess the preload was missing.
Anyway, I can tell that the rear is much tighter because
I no longer need to turn the steering wheel too much
for high speed turns. It was a scary feeling driving the
car when I first got it. I use to turn early entering a curve
and try to catch the inside corner because the RSB would
kick in so late. Now the steering is more precise.

PS Cattman will not have the FSTB available anytime soon.
And I don't want to go with Stillen.

Please let it be FSTB!

And he also mentioned about the front endlinks:
"I do plan on it and I have a sample already, just need to find a way to do it at an affordable level. They are not as easy as the rear and require some outsourse fabrication. so it'll be a while longer"

Just installed my endlinks. It was a bi&*@ to get the stock bolts off. I also most stripped them. Anyway, once they were off the install was pretty straight forward. BTW I have the Stillen sway bar.

Driving impressions:
The rear end feels noticeably more solid. Not nearly as much rear end body lean in the turns.

Funny, I notice the front end feels looser now. Time for the Nismo sway bar and hopefully endlinks for the front end.

So the Altima front and rear sway bar from Nismo will bolt on to the Maxie or are there adapters? Didnt see a reply to this question posted earlier.

I've got a bit of a problem. I installed the entire suspension kit from cattman and the racing endlings.

After the installation there were noises coming from the rear of the vehicle. After reading here that I should squeeze the shi-t outta the rubber I went back to the mechanic and he tighten it completely. There was no noise for 2 days and now I hear it again. It is most hear at low speads going down or up a ramp, like the one in a driver. I notice it most when going down/up at an angle when the weight of the vehicle shift from side to side. Please help, I can't sleep at night HEHE

What kinda noise are you getting? I believe a member on altimas.net had some sorta noise problem and TAZ had a solution for it, maybe he will chime in.

Oh baby! With my trunk empty and the endlinks installed the rear end feels so much more stable around the corners. Especially on the highway. I took a couple 360 degree on-ramps at higher speeds than normal and the rear end stayed planted. I'm impressed.

Finally, the Max is starting to handle like it should from the factory.

I'll eventually put my sub and spare back in but I'm enjoying this too much.

Cattman and Racingline don't have swaybars. Cattman sells Progress swaybars and Racingline makes endlinks. They compliment each other.

Energy Suspension

Well, i fixed the excessive knocking back there as my bushings shreaded. Taz has been great in helping, but I decided to upgrade the bushings and installed a hella bushing set from Energy Suspension. After a week of looking into it, I got the 9.8106R set that are quite fatter. The dilemma I ran into was finding washers for this set as it doesnt come with any. I then purchased the 9.8105R set that comes with washers but bigger grommets. I installed them yesterday and man what a difference. i will get a pic on here soon. i did have to increase the length of the bolt from 2.5 in to 3 in. What a difference. These bushings will hopefully never rupture as my last once did (I guess you can tighten them too much as was the advise given).

I used the washers from the 9.9105R with the grommets from the 9.8106R as that may have been confusing.

coitatie, how are your final impressions of the ES upgrade? that seems like a good thing to do since they are polyurethanne [sp?] what do you notice between the ones that came with the endlink kit opposed to the ES ones you bought?

Where did you order the ES busings from?
I'm looking to close up the void on the set that came with the endlinks.
There is still a little lean on 10-20 degree curves.

Sorry I haven't got any pics yet, but i haven't lifted the car again. it will be done hopefully next week. The bushings on ES are about twice as thick so I increased the length of the bolt by 1/2". it is very tight, but I do not recommend using all the washers as I would leave the washers out next to the RSB. you may get some popping noise. The 9.106R I got from Summit racing and the 9.105R (full kit with washers, only used washers) believe it or not, i got from Autozone. I will have pics soon....promise.

Ok, thanks for the info.
I'd just ordered a set. I use G suffix for the black color.
The shipping cost was more than the product itself.
I will try to look for the washers and bolts from a hardware store.

Good luck with finding the washers as they need to be pretty thick and wide. may not be at a hardware store. had trouble finding and and thats why I bout the 9.8105 as well with the washers. i have that set on ebay now without the washers.
Will have pics tonight of the finished product.

How come you did not extend the endlinks vertically apart to match the stock ones? Is your car lowered?

The difference is minimal and the performance is there. It will be lowered next week though. The length of the RL to the OEM was pretty close. the bar itself it very tight (and greased) to the chasis. Shouldnt be an issue. Left them how I got them
