wack it? i would take an educated guess and say that it probably locks in... onto the dash... so just find the lil plastic connector and there ya go.....

no just take the lower part of your council off..... two screws..... one is located behind the fuse panel door under the steering column and the other is on the lower right hand side..... philips head and then pull from the bottom and sides toward you.... that's it.... comes right off and then you have access to see at least if you want to take it out just remove the screws holding the mirror controls and the cabin temp sensor on the right and you're done.... as far as removing the button I don't know and can't help without pictures or an 05 Maxima like your's in my driveway..... I don't have this spare button otherwise I would have allready used it..... I made my switches....

Kinda confused here array --- do you just want to remove the blank?? If so undo the 2 screws that po8pimp said and unclip the harnesses and the whole piece will come out --- then there is one screw on the bottom holding that assembly in place --- undo that and the buttom assembly will come out. Each button is locked in by clips just push them out....Kenny
