CD Stuck in Player (Non-Bose)

Has anyone had any issues with a CD getting stuck in their Non-Bose OEM CD Player? I'm going to take it into the dealership to get checked out and wanted to know if this has happened to anyone else prior to taking it in. The CD plays fine, but when I click eject it makes a wierd clicking noise and does not come out.

this has happened to my daughters Scion tC twice. She is on her third stereo and the car is not 2 years old. All replaced under warranty. Unfortunately they are pioneer stereo's.

As long as the car is under warranty it will be fixed for free.

Yeah, because some have that information encoded in them. When burning your own CDs you can elect to encode this info in them as well.

How do you elect that? I use Roxio and haven't seen that capability.

As already aluded to, it depends on which software you use. I haven't burned any discs in a long time (...), but many of the packages allow you to connect to a CDDB database to automatically retrieve song info, etc, to make this a very easy task.

Good luck.

I'll admit I'm not the smartest when it comes to burning CDs, I thought that the CDDB database was primarily used when creating MP3s?

It can be used either way. It's just a way to grab song titkle / artist / album info for a CD (whether it is used to name an MP3 file or create the CD-Text for a CD, it doesn't matter.
