there is not much of a clearcoat on these cars that is why it chips so easily.

This is a universal problem on cars today and is not unique to Nissan. It is an issue of environmentally safe paints that are not as hardy as those of a few years ago.

That is why I had a clear bra applied before even picking it up from the dealer.

Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who noticed this... I don't do that much high speed driving, so I know rocks aern't hitting me at high speeds. I have clayed, I have touched up, and I have goo'd until I feel like I'm goo'd. I cannot just wash the front of my car. I feel like I have to polish it every single time to have it look half-way descent.

Also, has anyone noticed that the coat oxidizes and swirls pretty easily as well?

if you really don't want chips, always keep several car lengths between you and other vehicles. also the faster you go, the worse the chips. my oem bumper never really chipped, but had plenty of indentations.

now my hood was chipped to hell. Black paint over white primer FTL

I wouldn't have this applied unless you get the front repainted. You can probably find a bunch of discussions on the product in Detailing Forum. I am very happy with mine after 23K miles.

A poor man's alternative is to use Turtle Wax's Color Cure. I had an '00 SE w/ grey lustre, so the closest color was black, which filled in most of the little chips nicely. Looked a lot better than the zillion little nicks and chips. Not great wax either, but helped the looks a bunch.

Mine honestly look like someone took a paintbrush with white paint and just flung it at the bumper. I have to get it repainted if om gonna sell it. same thing with the mirrors actually...its really really bad. soemone once asked me what in the hell all the white stuff on my bumper is. All i can say is I am gonan probably keep the max, but am getting the saab truck on monday and it is white or silver for sure. Also, if you put about 4 or 5 coats of wax on the bumper and hood it helps out a lot.
