I checked the Advance Auto parts website and the filter costs $35.00!!! I even called the local Advance Auto and they quoted the same price. I guess Virginia charges some extra fees because that is the same price as the dealership.

That would be fantastic. Mo mad crazee vent powa!!!

Although the scent block idea does sound pretty ok. Maybe sneak 1/2 a Bounce sheet in there.

Purolator lists one in their catalog #C35530. I haven't seen it in a store yet but at least they making one. I know PepBoys shows it in their cross reference as well.

The one from drivewire is exactly the same as the OEM filter.

Hmm strange. I just bought my filter through drivewire as well. My original filter is facing so the last pleat is facing down (MMMMM) rather than up. The drivewire filter is opposite of the OEM one, and i have already put it in with the filter printing rightside up (so opposite of how it used to be). I was wondering if the filter's direction matters that much, and should i flip it to match the OEM or should i just leave it. The air seems to come from above the filter and goes down through the filter (looking at my old one, seems like the top is dirty). Anyone?

Yep, I picked up one of these Purolator filters at Advanced Auto Parts for pretty cheap, something like $12. Seemed to match the OEM filter exactly except it didn't have the thin center plastic strip that seemed to give a little extra support. It also went in with the writing upside down to match with the air flow indicator.

I replaced my filter today. It was only 10 mins because I was careful and never did it. Like other have said, use a small screwdriver and pop the clips up, kinda dumb they say push but hey ... it is a Nissan.

One dumb question though ... The air flow is from the top (windshield) to the botttom (floor) correct? I'm pretty sure because all the crap, pollen, dust and miscellaneous other things caught in there were on the top of the filter. Pretty nasty stuff. 25k.

For the convenience of it I just went to autozone and ordered it. $25 I had to order it. Took 3 days. I have the time. Quality? but I plan on replacing it pretty often so, not that big of a deal/

My dealer charges about $85CND for the filter...seems a little expensive to me. If anyone knows where I can buy one in the Toronto area please let me know.

Go to Carquest: http://www.carquest.ca/carquest/store_locator_ca.html Find a store in your location. Should be around $30.
