It's not...I still have their e-mails and I just haven't kept in touch with them. Even though it's simple e-mail messaging, I just had/have much more important things going on...AND I plan on dynoing w/AFR and if no correction is needed, then fawk it

AFR isn't the only item you can change with that, you know that right? If all you wanted was raw AFR control, any cheap AFC could do the trick.

Do you think the Cipher would be helpful in determining why teh CEL is coming on when headers are installed?

Cipher gives you data readout of each and just about every sensor you could ever want.

You can do essentially all OBDII functions:

Turn the cooling fans on at will
Adjust BTDC ±2º
Adjust idle ±250
Perform a cylinder pressure test
Fuel pressure test
Reset learned driving parameters
Check ABS codes

UTEC will allow you to tune your cars AFR / timing and a slew of other items but no CVTC adjustment (Easiest choice for you guys IMO).

Also, search the topic on my350z.

SAFCII = Adjust MAF voltage in order to alter AFR, but your ECU is more advanced than older gen Maximas, so I'm not 100% convinced the SAFC works for you since the ECU can learn over its(SAFC) corrections.

Keep in mind, I asked PRJ about Osiris, which is made by UpRev, whom are the same people who make Cipher, but Osiris is different than Cipher, but has yet to be tested on any Maxima.

Background on Cipher / Osiris / UTEC:

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=401526

Also, here's another hopeful option that hardly gets mentioned, and for some of you that hardly ever venture out of this forum:

TS ECU info:

Unless otherwise noted, all data is verified via Cipher/OBDII/Consult Interface

CVTC data logs mimic that of a Z33
AFR is 13.0 +/- 0.2 from 2400 - 7100RPM (Verified by an upstream WBO2 sensor prior to any catalytic convertors)
Timing is + 3-4* from stock (Comparing other stock A33B/A34's vs mine)
Rev limiter is verified @ 7100 (Sometimes it bounces to 7130 etc, but you get the point)
Car has seen ~ 138 MPH on the dyno, (Verified using DJ software.

As usual, great info. I saw Cobb tuning in SEMA and they said they didnt have Maxima/Altima products. That was back in Oct 07. I imagine 350z parts might work on our cars.

headers and CEL's for the 05+ is simply a matter of improper primary o2 sensor placement. The headers out there never were meant to be read by wideband sensors and are only reading off of one bank, as opposed to 3 banks on the stock manifold.

The only other thing is if the WB o2 measures flow rates as well.

But it is as simple as placing a bung where it needs to be (relocating).

That might be asking a bit much from an O2 sensor.

That's the hope, and I think that is what !Prj is / was looking into.

^^^ look at any 350Z header and you'll see the o2 bung is at the end of collecter. not on one bank like the altima/maxima header. the 02-04 altima/maximas got away with it cause of the narrow band o2. The WB is much more sensitive.

all 350z's have the WB to the best of my knowledge

Just sent this to Matt from UpRev

"Hey there Matt, it's been quite some time since I've even followed up on any progress for the possible Maxima Osiris.

Let me know if/when you would want me to send in the spare ECU for you to test out or if there is any other way I can help out to get this thing going for the 6th gen Maxima crew.

thanks,
dan"

We'll see what the response is...

Yeah, I definitely know that, just don't want to cough up the money on a new motherboard for the car right now

On a different note...10mm/15mm it is...just purchased 15mm...
