Can someone please tell me why in the hell nissan made it so you couldn't
turn the dam dash lights off or change the brightness of them when the lights
are off also with my 01 MAX when you left the light or the side markers on
and opened the door they would go off automaticly with my 04SE it just
beeeeps i guess i can live with that but for the dash is there a way to bypass
that and make it adjust? it's very bright at night

 

You shoudl have a small adjustment dial switch on the dash, left of the steering wheel below the AC vent

 

not sure what he means by dash, all the lights or the info screen? cause the info screen also has a dim button..

 

I have an 04 Elite Package. On the dash to the left of the steering wheel, below the air vent (next to the heated steering wheel switch, Mirrors switch and Traction Control) there is a small dial switch that has a picture of a Tach above it. Turning this dial will adjust the brightness of the Instrument lights.

Perhaps this not on all packages.

Its there but i know what he means and i have mine turned down all the way but it is annoying when i go to the drive in with my girl and i have to put a shirt over the instrument cluster

 

i think he meant when the car is on without the engine running (??ON?? or ??ACC??) the lights on the dash are bright and unadjustable.

i know what you are talking about.. its only a problem at night..

 

yeah once the car is on acc and the dash lights up there is nothing to adjust it

 

I wish they still had drive-ins around here, those were good times!
