I have HID fogs, mine are 3000 k (yellow). Its actually more involved than just changing the blub...you have to get an HID kit (2 ballast, 2 HID blubs and wiring harness) and have them installed.
You should check out the group deal forums for pricing. I paid $200 locally to have mine installed from HIDS2000 on nycmaximas.org.nyc.

I have 6K installed in mine, they look great. I did the install myself. Its easy you just have to remove the bumper and take the lights out to do it. Here is a sticky of the install I did for Tek-Niq.

I did mine easily without removing any bumpers and they have worked out great. My stock H3 fogs bulbs kept burning out, since then I have not burned a single H3 HID fog bulb.

I have teh 3000 Kelvin (yellow) regular H3 bulbs and I love them, especially in winter driving and fog (less reflection off snow and fog).

do you just unplug the stock ones and plug in the new ones?

No because the wires are run a little different.

The cap the holds the stocks in place has to be drilled right through the middle, and then you stuff the rubber gromet from the HID bulbs wires through that hole. See regular H3 bulb has 1 wire and uses its metal base as a ground point. HID bulbs have the base made out of plastic so they have two wires.

Those two wires have to go through the hole that you will drill, the rubber gromet is to protect them from moisture.

Thanks for the pictures. I just one more favor, do you have a pic of the hids and fogs (3000k) from 25ft away (or a short distance away)? I just wanna see how it looks from a distance. I;m really considering getting hid fogs once my stock ones blow.

I'm in the process of doing that this weekend. 4300 main with 6000k fog. I should have gone 6000 and 6000 tho. Oh well. Car is torn apart in my garage, passenger side completed, drivers side on the work bench.

I removed the OEM wiring and ran the HID wires through the OEM gromets so I don't have to drill the caps and potentially run into leak problems. Of course it will be more difficult to change back to the OEM bulbs...but WTF...who'd do that after HID's.

Will try to take pics.

I couldn't bring myself to copy you.

Actually with the way the mounting brackets fit, they need to slide out to one side to remove them. They'd have to slide towards the rad, and there isn't the clearance to do that. I could have permanently mounted them there with a double sided tape if I didn't use the brackets. Also the leads from the ballast to the bulb are fairly short. It was closer for the low beam ballast to be mounted to the plastic shroud above. I checked twice before putting screws through the plastic, there are A/C lines behind so beware!

Having ignition problems with the fogs. About 25% of the time one or both fail to ignite. It's usually when they come on with the main lights. I'm thinking its an amperage/voltage issue. If I turn them on and off a couple times they do work. I'm going to wire them into a Bosch 30A relay direct to the battery with the OEM fog light circuit as the trigger voltage. That should do the trick nicely.

CM.

are the bulbs in the fogs just normal H3 ? My passenger side is burnt, I've been meaning to replace it, Do I have to remove the headlights or the bumper to get access to this ? I would hate to start working on it and then run into problems.

Removing the bumper and lights is pretty much necessary. I guess you could do an HID install without removing them. I wouldn't. However just replacing the H3 bulbs is entirely possible without removing the bumper.
