D/S Seat Frame...Broken!

I kept getting a popping in my back. Took it in and they said they had good news and bad news. Bad news? Seat frame is broken, it was the frame rubbing me in the back. It will cost $1500.00 to get it fixed. Good news, it is covered under warranty!

You must be talking about a differnt popping bc im on my 2nd seat back and the lumbar 'pops' back when you accellerate and have it in its fullest out position...the driver's side seat is, without a doubt, the worst engineered part of this car, recall and all, its not comfortable for trips and its broken in 3 places for me.

That's exactly it. But Nissan told me it was the seat frame. To this point, it has been a smooth, comfortable seat.

I hope this doesn't become a habit for this seat. I certainly don't want to fork over $1500 everytime it hiccups.

This happens to me too. Just to clarify the seat is broken right?
Does this have to do with wire recall thing or is it completely different?

No the recall just has to do with a wire, like i said, im on my 2nd seaback and the popping still occurs...They all seem to be made the same way, the lumbar is a bad mechanism

Crown Nissan Of Greenville, Sc told me that it is a broken frame within the seat.

But everything you guys are describing is exactly what I am experiencing, not what I thought a broken seat frame would feel like.

Hope they fix it and I don't go through what Black is....

I gues mine is bad too? I heard it popped a couple of times, but I hardly mess with the seat adjustments so i don't really pay attention to it. Have to go check...

And Swee, how about the lower pain!

Hey there RH!

I don't really fiddle with the Lumbar goodies either. I did let a really really really good friend of mine drive the car for the afternoon, and after I got it back, I noticed that. He may have fiddled with lumbar, to get comfy while driving the car. So maybe he did me a favor!

Just what lower pain might you be referring to? Give me all the juicy details....

No need to jump. I experienced the same problems untill took it back to the dealer and they replaced the whole lumbar support motor/mechanism. Has been fine since then. Hope it will stay that way.

No, no need to jump. I am starting to think it isn't the frame, but the same lumbar issue you guys are having! I'll let you know what the outcome is!

Okay, dealt with the 'under the seat' recall. This one is lumbar/whole back of seat, according to Crown Nissan....

Thanks TeK

I didnt know there was a recall for the lumbar, is this recent teq? My lumbar does not stay put when its in the full out poisition and it pissess me off because then the support is lacking.
