I killed an 06 g35 coupe 6 speed with a 06 IS 350 6 speed on Long Island Expressway before Maurice AVE.
It felt sooooo good when I passed him 124 MPH. He was angry & powerless because after that he never caught up. I could see him in the rear view mirror struggling. I was just smiling.
I wish you were there to see it.
I read up on the IS350 for a while and to my knowledge they do not offer a 6speed yet.

anyways i took my g35 for a 12 month lease so just when my lease is over the new coupe will just be coming out, then when i get that one i can pass is350 "6 speeds" like there standing still.

btw by the way you made that statement it doesnt sound liek that is350 "6 speed" was yours so thats even worse lol.

and read the reviews on those cars...there good for the straight line and nothing else.
My bad I misspelled. It was IS 250 6 speed.
Either way l smoked a g35 with even a smaller car. LOL
I'm pretty sure 07 G35 is going to be nice.
BTW by the way I know by then I will be shopping for a new car too but I will pass on the g35 and move on to something faster and stronger. My mom's BMW X3 is really nice. I'm really considering German.

peace.

Son, I don't think you want to race your daddy.
When I flip, I don't care about you, other drivers or myself. That's how dangerous I am.
I've beaten LS400 with a CIVIC. .
If you really want to race, name the place and time. I WILL BE THERE.

Sooooo...
Back to one of my questions; as I read about the G35 sedans, does anyone know if the coupe will come with the 306 hp?

no greg the 07 coupe will not...if im not mistaken the 07 coupe ( which is exactly the same as the 06) will come with an SAE corrected 293...but dont hold me to that. Release date is scheduled for late spring of 07 as an 08 model which will be the new coupe...which supposidly will have around 320-330 hp but that is just speculation. The date is supposed to be late spring but knowing nissan and there delays id expect around this time next year.

I think the 293 hp is for the manual version and I would be getting the auto version...somehow the tq numbers are different for the manual/auto also...

yea 293 is for the manual version..i think the corrected auto is gonna be 275...and the torque is also different...13 lb difference...the reason for that is because of the intake plenum that is used. Theres a plenum sold for the car that gives the 6mt versions the torque of the autos and is sworn by on the g35 forums.

i def agree 100% it is more practical of a car and has nice amount of power too. As far as fit and finish, quality, speed, and handling the g35 coupe wins all day. Personally i used to like the maxima more then g35 sedan...but after drivng that car its also to me a nicer car. But thats not putting down the maxima, the cars are different animals with different purposes. I def still love the max. Like it said it depends what you want in a car to make this kind of deceision.
