Well I hope there is because I know that most, if not all of the maximas do this. I'd love to know if it is a recall cuz I would take my car in ASAP!

Anyways, I just hit the unlock button on the door before I get out. This always seems to work plus, it'll help if you don't slam the doors. (I'm not saying you do)

now that you mention it, i keep noticing that when i'm washing the car or moving stuff around with all the doors opening and closing, one of them invariably gets locked without me touching the locks at all...

i always keep my keys in my pocket, so it hasn't been a problem yet...but i'd like to get it fixed just as well...

you can adjust the timing of this in the personalized settings. there is a 15, 30 and 45 second timer or you can just turn it off so they don't shut themselves

I discovered that one by accident a short time ago. I had read of others locking themselves out of their cars. I had also seen a lady at a carwash do it to herself. The workers were pushing her car out of the no-touch wash!

From then, I turned mine off. I'm sure there is a benefit to it, but I am not seeing much!

yaup, with me it was waiting for my friend to get out of work that led me to tinkering with all my settings and figuring stuff out!

I locked my self out three weeks ago. I thought it was my fault but now reading this I think it locked on its own with the car running. I pulled out of the garage and parked on the street. The doors were all locked, the doors open if you just pull. So I pulled on the handle and got out to go into the garage. when I turned around and lifted the handle, the drivers door was locked. The car was running and I only got one key/fob with the car. I had to call the road side assistance to unlock my car.

I knew it would lock after I truned it off and got out but why would it lock with the car running ? I wish it would lock when you drive off !
