Fog Light Rewire - COMPLETE *PICS*

Got my 3k hids installed today and also got my fog lights rewired so that I can turn them on without having to have my headlights on. Here are the pics to prove it.

those are 3000K HID fogs and i believe that those are the autoluminitics switchback turning lights which i think are most closely to either 6000K or 8000K...more 6000K though...

do you have a link for those lights? and are they actual HID's, or just bulbs? and how exactly does the "switch back" thing work...when on its only the white color but when turn signal then it goes to amber and white...this is like the 3rd or 4th time that I am asking this now because no one is responding to my PM's!!!

They are LEDS and give off a blueish whiteish color when on, but flash amber when you use your indicator of hazard lights. You will need a resistor in order for them to blink at a normal speed while using the indicator.

I'm going out on a limb here and say that he probably didn't do the work himself. Therefore he's not able to post the write-up.

I'm thinking the same thing also. He prob got the shop to install his HID fogs and rewire them also.

No, actally HIDS2000 and I did it together. I just havent had time for the writeup as ive been busy studying for finals and doing projects. Ill give you guys a short write up but I will write a full in depth writeup in a few days....

You will need an extra HID wiring Harness with the fuse/relay thats bulit in.

1. Cut the Power wire that goes to the Fog Light
2. Find the wire that goes to the Signal light and splice it.
3. Using the wiring harness that comes with the HID kit, hids2000 provides, connect one side into the Signal wire and the other onto the plug that turns on the FOG hids.

Now when you turn the signal lights on, the light above the actual headlight, the fogs will turn on.

Down side is you cannot turn the fog lights off with the switch. So whenever you want to turn the headlight on, the fogs will stay on.

Why the extra harness? ANd if you turn off the mains to the fogs also turn off?

Extra Harness since it turns on the HID fogs, not regular bulbs. If you turn the headlights off the fogs turn off. When its on auto, everything turns on when. But when its on the switch below auto, the fogs and signal is on.
