Intake
I know about all the CAI options we have, but what options do we have for a "short ram" intake? My car gets driven in rain and snow and I don't want to risk sucking up water into the engine.
Are most of you just doing the Home Depot Special that are running short intakes?

You know, I was always worried about my FUJITA sucking in water and all but eased up on in after I decided to remove it and noticed that the filter is very clean. I expected to see water spots around the filter piece indicating that water splashes it all the time. Let me tell you, after 2-3 months of having it on and driving through many rains this thing is spotless. I left it on as it is amazing. I think that as long as all splash guards are in place you have nothing to worry about. I will add a hydro-shield (pantyhose like material) and wrap around the filter soon for extra protection but other than that its all good and LOUD.
YEAH BABY!!! YEAH!!!

well not even...truefully i had to same doubts as verybody else with CAI...and i noticed something.
FIRST off. where the CAI is useally placed...which is driver side infront of the wheel well...VERY VERY concealed (?) meaning as long as your spalsh guards or put on right. you don't have anything to worry about. unless your going 80 MPH backwards and even then i hightly doubt it. the only thing...if you car is lowwered...don't go driving in any puddles that are higher than 2 feet...at that point its not a puddle anymore and a pond and chances are you car willl be F-ed up at that point, lolxz

Using couple of brain cycles when driving in the rain will definitely help.

agreeing with the above post. as long as you're fairly cautious there's nothing to worry about. your splash guards do a good job. just remember, your maxima is not a sailboat, so keep it on the pavement.
