wow...

just got back from nyc with my new used 04 elite package 6 speed maxima se, car is amazing.

feels much more solidily built than our 06 tl, no squeeks or rattles like the acura.

cruise set at 85, ac off sunroof open = 28mpg average through out the whole trip

can anyone explain to me why my car only has a power outlet on the passenger footwell under a plastic panel?

other than that this thing is amazing.

There should be two additional power outlets. One near the front right of the center console, and another under the removable tray in the center armrest.

Actually, on an 04 Elite you have three.

One near the passanger foot area, One under the front Center Console, Under the removable tray, and the final one is located in the rear center
console.

The designer responsible for the interior design was probably a non-smoker and didn't put a power outlet in an easily accessible location. Nissan added one on the shift bezel opposite from the hazzard button in the '05s, still no ashtray though. But since I don't smoke, I don't really care. And the car gets pretty good MPG at highway speed.

do you drive mostly on the freeway? Reset your mpg meter every time you fill up? Do you have a lead foot?

21.5 MPG for daily driving is normal. On the highway, some here got up to the low 30's. How many miles on your '07?

I've gotten in the very low 30's for a short period of time (10-20 miles), with very high 20's for long trips (~5 hours of driving, maybe 10 stoplights) all at around 60-70 MPH.

Rh, I think I am following your questioning, because the first thing that came to my mind, was 'break in period perhaps?'

I have gotten over 32 mps, but thats past because of FUJITA CAI. I'd be happy to get 24 now. This thing is addictive.
