The First 2005 Maxima SC

Thats right!!!!!!I am excited to announce that I have teamed up with procharger and MC racing here locally in kansas to test fit and install a 7-9 lb boost super cahrger. We are working with the lead engineer and tech of procharger to develop what we hope will be the Sc for the 6th gen maxima. The project will begin in a few weeks after the lead engineer returns from a business trip from florida. We are also looking into a company that says it has a software program to re map and flash the ECU, if that does not come through then we will look onto technosquare to do the job. We are using the C-1 kit offered by procharger that is a universal kit but decided to go with a 3 core intercoller instead of the two.

Here is a sample of what the kit looks like......

I will deffinitally keep everyone posted on the progresss and share with you exactly what it will take to make this happen to your Max as well!!!

This is a kit for all2004-2006 Maximas.....if it goes well! It might be just a one off depending on the install! If it is not install friendly then it cant be mass produced but for those of you out there that are good with this stuff then it might be for you.....right now we are planning it and getting ready for fabrication of the mounting brackets and hardware. Fuel management will be another issue to over come as well but we have a good lead on a solution.
I have fronted the 6500 dollars to do this and i hope that it will be available for production...be patient and i will keep you posted

Thanks,
Chef

Run 11s or 12s with standard road tires. Now that would be impressive.

NO NO NO! I have invested the intial money of 7 thousand dollars for the development, it will NOT cost anywhere near that once it hits.....if it does hit production for retail sales.

Looks as of right now that everything is a go and we have decided on a digital FMU to regulate and supply fuel...the same as the 350Z kit does, i am just waiting patiently for the shop to give me an install date and so far it looks like the first of the year.

Trust me as soon as i know somthing you all will too..I PROMISE!!!!!
and 13's.....ha!!!!!..youll see i am not going to post projected numbers yet because they have not actualized, but i will ay this..if it goes as fast on the dyno as we have figured out on paper then you all are wrong.......13's.ha!

Thanks
Chef

Kam .....man that thing is so out of date but thanks for looking.....i hope to soon post up pics of the car the way it is now...those blue numbers are gauges...the one on the left is equipment voltage and the other is equipment temp. I also would like to add that the car is currently on the bottle...75 shot and we will be adding that to the SC as well. They are drilling and inserting a fitting to the intercoller for a direct spray into the intercooler....fast?....i hope so. I am sick of peolple saying.......well thats all show and no go!!!!.....okay now talk....LOL!!!!!

Once thats on, I would love to see a battle between your and Chernmax. You with the SC and him with the NA and all goodies.

Question, will we have to ditch the UPD for a pulley with the third rim for the SC belt or will the SC just attach to the current Pulley/Water/Aletrnator Belt.

Thanks,

Kam

We are using an underdrive pulley, the upper and lower intake will ported and polished and most likely add headers. Upgrading the injecters, and fuel pump. I might be missing somthing but i am not sure but thats a start.

Water pump is run by the timing chain, no external pulley relation whatsoever.

Wouldn't be a fair race.

I know a dude with a SC VQ30 that's puttin' down about 323whp that will spank any 6th Gen on this board so I can only imagine(for now) what a SC VQ35 would do.

Another thing, I feel sorry for any auto tranny that has to handle a boosted VQ35. Even with my NA mods my 1-2 shift is ok but my 2-3 shift is sllllllloooooowwwww at WOT.

Take it to a local Mr. Transmission see if there is any upgrades to the autotragic. I had a tranny oil cooler and ?stiffer sprigs and faster solenoids? installed in my last car....... if that makes any sense to our tranny guys here?

I wonder how the CVT could deal with the power, imagine it shredded its belts? How much does one of those cost to replace?

I'm afraid to take it to someone who doesn't know what they're doing. But I do know what you're talking about.

CVT belts are made of steel and I think they are high strength tested. Not sure how the pulleys hold up though.
