Does anyone notice that high speed steering response is too slow?
I feel that on the highway I need to turn the steering wheel more
for the car to react. Then I find myself steering back a little to
compensate for the oversteer. Is speed sensitive steering missing?
Or getting stiffer struts and/or front endlink bushings would make
a difference? I already have RSB and rear endlinks upgraded.

 

well i think the car itself naturally has a lot of understeer...where you need to turn more to feel the car move...now...it becomes more obvious when you put in springs struts and shocks...

now my friend who has a del sol...has opted to suggest removing the power steering to fix the understeer problem...buh i don't think i wanna go crazy tryin to steer a 3400 lbs vechicle without powersteering lolxz...and plus wuh do honda owners know about nissans...lolxz

 

how fast are you going, cuz i know when i over like 80 i dont really need to do much to steer the car, just hold on the wheel, it also depends on how your driving is. if you wait for the last minute to turn or shift lanes then your going to have to work harder to steer, i dont think its a good idea to wait for the last minute when you doing 100 MPH

 

i was noticing the same thing , but i actually realized mine was due to low tire pressure in the front 2 tires , i added air and it seems alot more responsive now

 

Tire pressure does help but I think there are other factors that contribute to the unstability at high speeds. I also think at high speeds the power steering makes steering way too light which makes cornering at high speeds somewhat scary. A STB may help. Also, and I can't prove this, but I think there's a significant amount of lift at high speeds; the pos stock spoiler doesn't help.

I also have considered removing the power steering but this will be my last resort after coilovers and a STB.
