Clutch Problem on 04

Ok I'm have a little issue with my clutch it's intermittent not all the time , when it happens the clutch pedel will feel extremely loose and will practically flop around , i then have to push the clutch all the way to the floor to shift and then pull my foot litterlly 1 inch off the floor and it will engage and it becomes increasingly harder to shift , i have had this problem twice so far , both times if i turn the car off and leave it off for a few minutes it's fine when i start it up again , any idea what it can be ? i have an appointment at the stealership for next week for the rear sub-fram and that but i wanted to get an idea first .

I believe this is ok. I remember reading something about this by other posters.
Let me see if I can find the link for you.

By the way, another resourceful website for your car might be;

Here's the link on the other thread dealing with this problem. I have the problem also, although it only seems to happen when I go through the car wash. They are still investigating possible causes for the problem, but nothing concrete as of yet, but you do need to let the dealer know that there is a problem.

Your warranty is more than for 90 days. You have a 5 year/60K mile warranty on the drive train and a 3 year/36K mile warranty for basically everything else. Unless I'm missing something?

I continue to NOT have this issue with my 04. I posted on the earlier thread on this topic:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ghlight=clutch

I am now coming up on 52,500 miles and just over 3.5 years and have never had this problem with the clutch. See my comments in the earlier thread on my opinion on what is causing this.

Just bringing this thread back from the dead. I'm having the same issues. Went through the car wash the other day. My clutch only engages at the last inch or so of the lower end of the travel.

Thoughts?
