So those who did the drain and refill on the auto Maximas, you just refill in the oil dipstick and shift it through the gears with it running, I'd rather like to avoid the dealer

The oil plug has a magnet. Remove any debris before you put it back on. The oil level will be higher on the dipstick when the oil is hot, so add less, warm it up and then fill within the xxxxx range (I have a 5 A/T).

It should be in the middle of the xxxxxx range...I took the dipstick to the stealership and that's what the techs said!

Drain/Refill Trans Fluid

Where under the car is the drain plug for the transmission fluid? What size allen wrench do you need? Where online can I buy some transmission fluid type K from Nissan?
Doing a drain, and refill. (Fluid looks dirty. Not red.)
Is the nissan transmission fluid type k red in the bottle?

on the trans it has a allen key plug, make sure you get the right size as it strips very easy.
courtesy Nissan may sell it online. K-matic fluid is red. Even if the fluid is dirty it should still have some semblance of "red" if its any other color its horrific.

no offense but if your not sure how to go about this job i wouldn't recommend you do it. a drain and fill only gets about half of it out.

I realize that. I'm not doing a risky flush.

Went to the dealer, they said that they drop the pan and refill, so they get a bit more than just a drain w the plug. They do not do a full flush. 150$CAN or something. Seems expensive to me, but if I have tranny problems, Ill have the proper proof...
