hey i remember someone once bringing this up regarding LSD on our max's. i think it was kam...don't remember. buh what was the final result? and another thing i saw someone post this G Spec Performance site regarding a Phantom Grip LSD conversion kit for our cars. can anybody verify this?

It was an option for the 6-speed. The Phantom Grip works well but can cause transmission failure.

 

can you explain a bit more into it cause i'm not getting it...i thought our cars already came with LSD...

 

As Nietzsche posted LSD is an OPTION on the 6 speed mt [not available on 6th gen w/auto trans]

buh this still confuses me...i can leave two tire tracks on the floor and i have an auto...06...i don't get it...and plus i even tried when i had my car lifted and try holding both wheels...you can't hold either...i don't get it...can someone explain that?

 

Do you ever notice when you take a corner and floor it only spins one tire . That is because you have an open diff. With a limited slip it transfers torque across to the wheel with grip allowing both tires to gain traction, hence the can you put down two treads. In a straight line though many open diffs can lay two marks so it's not a indication of a limited slip. The limited slip helps on launch a little and powering out of corners alot.

 

ooo icic...now i understand...so your saying our cars are limited slip...buh not LSD...lolxz

 

From my understanding only 04 6spds came with a HLSD, the 05's and up came with a open diff and traction control.. I think anyways.

 

If you open your trunk and see a Leprechaun doing it with the Smurfette...you'll know you've had LSD...
