As stated you must have not seen the FUJITA CAI. It is one piece pipe going from the filter (inside the bumper) straight to the engine. There is no pieces, no couplers.

There is a hole right in the middle of the pipe for the MAF to slide in. It actually looks pretty neat, there isn't bunch of unions and silicone seals.

It takes away the governor, alters the fuel/air ratio, raises the redline to 7100 rpm from the stock 6600 and it makes the throttle open all the way when you are WOT instead of it closing slightly...this is all done with the safety of the motor still in mind.

IMO, after reading alot about it, it seems as if the ECU isnt that amazing of a hp inscrease mod on its own. True, it does help in accordance to other mods, but ECU should be one of the last engine mods to get the full potential of the ECU reflash. Plus gains were around mid to low teens at best in hsp and tq.

Sorry, back to the MAF chat

yes, I know that. I wasn't saying that it's TEH BESTEST OF THE BEST, but that it is one of the mods that puts out some decent numbers, unlike other mods for our car.

I'd rather tune my own A/F and try on adding my own timing than count on a cookie cutter to do the trick.
