Headlight

Hey guys,

I left my car parked at a shopping mall only to come back and discover my passenger side headlight was broken.

Anywhoo,

I'v searched through our thread system and cannot locate the thread about someone selling a set of HID headlamps.

Anyone have a link they could help me out with.

Thanks,
Kam

prjctmax has halogens for sale, if your ballasts and bulbs are fine you should be able to swap them over to new housings.

Nietzsche got to it before me. Id say Prjct would be the best way to go. I dont know if there would be any custom fabrication invovled though lets get someone else to chime in here

and as far as online dealers most of them would give you some cheap aftermarket crap, and I dont think you want to put that on your car.

I doubt it, the housings are identical, as is the harness. Only difference is the ballast and igniter.

I'd shoot him a pm, he responds fairly quickly.

I always thought HID housing is different from halogens because the reflectors are different. I think Dan has them because he put in the HID housings and thats why he is selling that set.

Am I wrong???

I am not positive on the projectors and what not, but people convert with plug n' play kits all the time from their halogen to HIDs. Also, on the bottom of the halogen lamp there is a spot where you can mount the OEM HID ballast, so I would assume that everything is the same except for the whole HID assembly. I'm not 100% on this, but just a hunch

Yeah but Kamski's SE came with OEM HIDs. Dan, didn't you upgrade to HID and changed the headlights?

O, and the black housing led tails from CE, since theyre out of business. I think theyll look fine if I tint them so you just see the leds light up.

What do you mean nothing behind it? Its chromed on the inside so as soon as he gets a hole to plug in the bulb he's golden.

Why don't you just leave them out? You don't have to have DRL's do you?

Well I would ticket somone if they had a new car and I didnt see their DRLs on. Simple as that. I imagine I would get pulled over also if dont have mine on, so i will have to drill or something along those lines.

Law applies to me just at much as the next guy, its at the officers discretion to ticket or not. So even I do have a badge it doesnt exclude me from not being ticketed. None the less, I might come up with something, like having the HIDs run as DRLS. First and foremost is to get my car fixed up ASAP.
