My wheels turned black. =(

I already posted in the member's rides, but either 1)6th genners don't really check there, or 2)6th genners don't care for my ride. I'm hoping it's not the second one, hahaha. Mods, if you think this is a double post, I apologize and please delete this one.

The rims are 20" x 8.5" Zinik Minardis with a +42 offset. Tires are 245/35 General Exclaim UHPs. In case anyone asks, tails are tinted with bluebatmobile overlays in 6/10 smoke, heads in 3/10 smoke, and grill blacked with blackout tape. And yes I plan on lowering, lol.

Wheels are kinda hard to see so here's a close-up.

Beautiful! Looks crisp!

Before someone flames you, I'll gently remind you that they are bound to come in here and tell you that this belongs in the 'Members Rides' section.

I personally don't care. I wouldn't have seen it down there, because I don't frequent that part.

Nice looking whip!

Not a big fan of black rims on silver cars, but it doesn't look too bad.

Thanks for the compliments everybody, especially from those with heavily modded max's. You guys really set the bar high.

4MySwee: Yeah, I know this belongs in the 'members ride' section. I already posted it there, but I wasn't really getting any feedback from 6th genners, so I decided to post it here. That's why I said in the beginning I apologize if this is a double post, hahaha.

Ankit69: I had 5% on the rears on my last car, and I just got tired of not being able to see behind me. That, and the interior is black so it makes the tint look darker than it is. As for the fronts, I can't really go any darker without risking being pulled over, so 50% will have to do. Oh, and the =( was just sarcastic, lol.

And to all the picture ****** that are mentioning I need to lower my car, I stated in the first post I'm going to lower it in the future, hahahaha. It's cool, I'm a picture ***** as well. =)

Joe- looks good man; I always liked black on silver- nice contrast esp w/smoked tails. Those are sum heavy "dubs" there- I hope a BBK is in the plans too (I think the new Brembos w'gold rotors/blk calipers would look INSANE...anyway, nice Max. can't wait to see it after you drop it- post more pics when u do...here(6gen)lol.

Tehaviator, you just don't get it do you? Seems like you should've learned something from your similar comments in the other thread...

Love it! I have a Liquid Silver SE... if I ever decide to get new wheels, those just might be it. At least something black. I like the contrast.

There's a place in Fairfield that will do it. Right outside of Travis AFB.

be very wary of the fact, dropped car plus 20"s kills the smooth ride ive heard...so i dont plan on dropping mine..

Not true at all! Especially if you have an SE; then you're used to a rough ride. But I've been dropped on Eibachs for over a year and it's barely noticeable. I just put 20's on and it feels the same.

Yeah the main difference is the road noise from 20's, the Eibachs ride pretty smooth, well worth the gap removal!
Of course I went a step furthur and have negative gap on coilovers, not such a smoth ride...

Nice rims, I was gonna get these in chrome but then got turned off after the guy told me that chrome rims require "more" maintenance. your's are not chrome so you wouldn't have that problem.

BTW, NICE RIMS!!!

oh no jay, i am not saying they are not easy to clean.

The guy at the shop told me that chrome requires that you apply some sort of protecting stuff so that the salt doesn't eat the chrome. He showed me some rim that somebody brought back after like 2 years and the whole lip was blistered. Maybe cheap rims, maybe lack of maintenace, I don't know; but it turned me off. Me living in NY, there is more salt on the road then there is snow, therefore alloys were pretty much the only option.

Cheers
