Will there be a group buy available on this item? Just wondering if I should hold out...

The price is good as is, spend the money now. I don't see a group buy for these doing much better. Typically GB's are reserved for a much more expensive item.

Question, I saw the listing for the 02-07 Maxima IM spacer on your web site however I thought the 6th Gen kit was going to include the EGR replacement tube at a higher price or do we have to order it seperately???

It wasn't required, the egr tube fit just fine with the kit installed.

I'm sorry. I have no plans to organize a group buy in the future.

The kit that was originally made for the 5.5 gen fits FLAWLESSLY on the 6th gen without any problems!

So, now I added the 6th gen in the vehicles that it's guaranteed to fit on.

No extra EGR tube is needed to install these spacers. So that means you can order spacers for your 6th gen at the same exact price as the 5th gen guys get it for. I am very pleased not to have to raise the price of the kit since no tube needed to be designed.

Note to all: The 6th gen spacer kits have been tested and installed without the need for a replacement EGR tube. I am accepting 6th gen orders on my website and they are expected to ship on May 10th since they are on backorder at the moment.

I prefer all orders to go through my website. That ensures that the correct amount has been paid and that the correct product has been ordered. Once you start the checkout process, you will see my email address for my verified account.

I have $225 sitting in my PayPal account and it seems it wants to withdraw the money from my bank account. Thats why I would prefer to just transfer you the cash

It should be the same whether you are buying fro my website or sending it to my email address.

If you have only $225 sitting in your Paypal account, then there is not enough to cover the price of the kit.

Normally, it will use those funds first, then transfer $8.00 from your bank account to cover the difference. But if you don't have a credit card on file, it may force you to pay via eCheck since you don't have at least $233.00 in your Paypal balance.

After you click "Add to Cart", it will prompt you to sign into your paypal account. Then click on "More Funding Options". You should be able to change that. It sounds like you do not have a credit card on file with Paypal. So you don't have a backup funding source. That is why it's probably forcing you to pay via eCheck.

But according to Paypal, the funds will FIRST be removed from the Paypal balance. If there is not enough in your Paypal account to cover all the costs, then it might force you to pay by eCheck if you don't have a credit card on file to use as a backup funding source.

If you do have a credit card on file to use as a backup funding source, then it will remove the $225 from your balance first, then only charge your card or bank account for the remaining $8.00.

Contact me directly before trying to send me money without using my website.

I had a good chance to really test out the spacer yesterday, even though I have done temperature tests which show it to be about 40 degrees lower. I drove from LA to my house (35 minutes) and then I drove another 55 miles with some stop and go traffic after the car sat for 20 min. After the car idled for a bit and then I shut off the motor, I opened the hood, and the intake was only warm to the touch but no where near hot.

it's kinda hard to tell, unless you can identically reproduce driving conditions... weather, roads, amount of throttle, etc... but I've done pretty well on my current tank of gas, which includes all kinds of different driving, not just highway.. according to the computer I'm just under 28mpg..

Feels very responsive, particularly on lower end. The power gain will be when engine is warmer since the power lowers due to heat. It simply lowers LESS than normal. Im loving it. There is a noticable difference.

Read the rest of the thread and also the 5th Gen thread; they are phenolic spacers to reduce IM temps to prevent heat soak...

More info, including cost and install instructions, on his website, in his sig:

Am I safe to assume this will work for 3.5 Altima's 05+ ?

These spacers have not been tested in the 2005 Altima with the EGR system, but yes, it's safe to assume it will work just fine.

If for some reason it doesn't fit, just let me know and we will arrange a full refund.

that's about what I get when I'm racing around town 100% of the time...

have you tried shifting out of 2nd gear?

try resetting your trip odometer and see what it REALLY is (fill up, reset odo, drive til empty, fill up, calculate miles on trip odo divided by gallons filled) ... if you're really getting that bad ... it could be several things.. how many miles do you have?

The kit cost $225.00 plus $8.00 Shipping ($233.00 total), you can order it through his web site NissanWorks and depending on your knowledge of removing an IM, it can vary between 2-4 hours taking your time to do it right...

As for what it does, check out the data and info on his home page...

Nice to see some more mods for the maxima. Maybe il keep mine a while longer and add a few more mods. I guess the install for these would be best to do when/if I pull the IM to hack the shelf and remove the power valve? Havent pulled the IM yet so im not sure how tough a job it is.

All the correct and most accurate information is found on my website. I have already received your order and a confirmation email was sent to you explaining the expected ship date. We even talked about this via PM. I instructed you to check that confirmation email for more information pertaining to your order. It explains that the expected ship date is 5/10/07.

If anybody has any questions such as this, PLEASE contact me directly to receive the most accurate information possible. You can also visit my website, www.NissanWorks.com, for the most up to date backorder information.

I am MORE than happy to answer everybody's questions. I really strive to offer answers as fast as possible, especially if it's during business hours.

It is really straightforward. Easy 2 hour job. Longest part was applying the rtv to all sides of the spacers.

The spacers should be available today, correct?!

Anyone know how long of a job this is according to "the book?" Not sure if I want to risk putting too much or too little RTV seal and possibly getting some debris into the motor

If you have already placed your order while these spacers were on backorder, then yes, your shipment will go out today. But my stock is very limited right now. It's very difficult to machine these parts and it takes a little time. I have a very large batch that should arrive next Wed though.

For those that have not already placed their order, you will have to wait until mid next week until that order gets shipped. Please refer to my website for the most accurate expected ship date. I am constantly adjusting it as information is sent to me from all my suppliers. I am making a lot more spacers this go around, so I hope this product never goes on backorder again.

I do have one kit left than can be shipped today or tomorrow. But after that, you will have to wait until Wednesday or Thursday of next week before your order is shipped.

I don't know what the book estimates for labor on removing the upper and lower manifold. The book probably claims that the fuel rail needs to be removed in order to remove the LIM. But with the spacers, this is not the case. By keeping the fuel inectors and the rail on the LIM, it really saves a lot of time. For a shop to do this, they shouldn't charge you for more than 3 hours. If they take longer than that, then they don't know what they are doing when it comes to Nissans. Some fast workers can install these spacers in 2 hours. The most tedious part is applying the RTV on the spacers. That takes the most time. I am a very slow and meticulous mechanic. These spacers took me just under 3 hours the first time I did it on the 2002 VQ35DE. I can easily do it in 2 hours now.

yeah, the fuel rails being in the way a bit can make it tricky, but it's definitely possible to do.

I did mine with no help at all in about 4 hours, being extremely careful and triple checking everything.. could probably do it in half the time now that I've done it.. it did take up about 6 hours of my day though, but that included a few breaks and a trip to walmart for a 1/2" to 3/8" adapter so I could use my torque wrench, but the actual work was probably 4 hours.
