corner lights mod

Hey guys....I want to do a small litle mod. The corner lights that turn on when you turn on the turn signal.....I want to rewire those so that they turn on when the fog lights turn on....and then I want to put HIDs on them.....I know the size of those bulbs is 3156....I was wondering which size HID bulb I should get so that it fits in the corner lights good and looks good. About the rewiring and stuff I have someone that will do that. All I need to know is what would be a good size HID bulb to put in there.....Have any of you done this? Got pictures?

I think ud have to change the whole unit and put in a new housing. Someone did that before and changed there housing, that housing had h3 bulbs in it. Do a search or maybe that person can comment here.

Not sure but that may be illegal because the intended use is to light the direction your turning toward. If going straight you would be continually shining other road lanes which is a safety hazard. Again not sure but I would do your homework on local traffic laws before you commit.

I have a 20 LED bulb in them and they look pretty sweet! Closely resemble a 6000k HID bulb...here is a picture of them.

I have done the re-wire thing and no one flashes me. Infact I only get flashed with the high beam hids on with or without the concerning light. The police pulled me over one night for a tinted plate cover. They walked around the front and looked at the lights and said nothing. Most people just think they are round fog lights. Hell, even when I purchased the car last year I thought my Fog lights didn't work and I was about to call the dealer until I found this site and read "bumper lights".

The stock concerning lights rewired would be less bright than my 50w H3 driving lights. To me they light up the ground like show or ground lights.

I don't mind my car looking like a space ship.
