Noob here :)

Well, I've had my mustang since I was 19, but it has become a show car and I was ready to park it until show season, so since I have my dream car, we went and got my wifes dream car. We picked up our 2006 Maxima on March 26, 2007. We absolutely love it. I will not be modding this anywhere near the extent I do my mustang, but would like to do a couple of visual/performance mods. My questions are.....What can I do that won't mess up the warranty? What type of good performance mods can I do that won't hurt gas mileage, and won't make the car much louder than it is now? Any input is appreciated. Here are a couple pix of the Maxima

And this is my baby

Beautiful cars!

Ok, for performance, but it will make it a bit louder would be the Fujita Cold Air Intake. Install is really easy, as I'm sure you know already. There's also the Progress RSB and Springs. You can get these from Cattman Ventures from Tucson, AZ. Certainly helps with the handling.

Cosmetic would be a grille and some wheels.

Good luck and congrats on your purchase.

thanks y'all....yeah, right now the planned visual mods include new grill, stock spoiler, tinted windows, and possibly rims/suspension mods in the future. The performance mods I had thought about were the intake, which yeah, I could deal w/ that much of a sound increase, and then I read under one of the sticky posts about a Y-pipe that didn't increase exhaust sound very much. I just wasn't sure how Nissan looked at those mods as far as warranty went.

Welcome aboard, great color!!!

First mods I would do for looks is Tint, new grill, loose the dealer plates and shave the badging off the trunk.

Check out this Mustang: http://break.com/index/son_crashes_n...to_garage.html

Headers(retain stock catback), AFC, larger MAF housing and all tubing to TB, (but retain stock airbox).

This will be a very quiet and potent set-up.

I love your car. I actually caught your page on cardomain a few weeks ago, before we were even looking at Maximas and was rather impressed. And I've seen that video....its a little upsetting, lol.

The dealer plate actually came off the 2nd day we had the car. But yeah, the tint and grill are coming pretty soon My wife doesn't want the badges shaved at this point...I already tried that one lol.

Is it a pain to put headers on the 3.5? I know putting them on my mustang was a beast. I had to basically pull the engine to get them on.

I try to keep my vehicles looking classy. It is my whole goal w/ the mustang and will be w/ the maxima. Getting ready to change the headlights on the mustang b/c they are a little too "ricey" for my liking.

I see what you're talking about. Probably a good decision to remove them

I decided to go back towards the stock look w/ the mustangs lights. But instead of the stock ribbed look or crystal clear, I got smoked crystal clear headlights and corner lights. I think they'll fit in nicely w/ the very soon to come body work.
