Rear brake upgrade

As the total piston area increases, so does the amount of fluid needed to activate the brakes. If you have a constant MS cylinder size then you need to push the pedal down more than before.
Considering in the past, the FWD and RWD Nissans/Infinitis didn't share common brake mounting dimensions, using the oem brembos is a good way to get front/rear bbk that has a very well front/rear brake bias designed in. Mismatching front/rear bbk w/o doing the calculations isn't going to net you shorter stopping distances.

On the subject of brakes...
Hey guys, while we're on the subject of brake upgrades I thought I'd ask for some advice. Yesterday I purchased 4 sets of pads and rotors for my '04 SE. I've never done a brake job before, but from what I hear its not difficult at all. I've done some searching through the stickies for "how to" on brakes, but didnt see anything. Maybe because theyre just that simple?
My main question is, what type of tool would I need to remove the caliper to change the rotor? Do I just need that tool to do the job? If someone could set me up with some instructions or a how-to website, it would be greatly appreciated.

As to the BIAS, I haven't notices anything strange other than being short of breath when I step on them brakes.

On a side note, he was drooling over my AT grill I just installed last Friday but sucker is really determined to get that G37 so he is saving his coins.

I don't think its the aluminum that makes the different its a solid caliper with 6 pistons. What I mean is that even if it was a 2 piston but a solid caliper instead of floating design it would apply more pressure not to mention that a 4, 6, 8 piston designs simply distributes the pressure all over the pad for even bite, a bite that one caliper on one side cannot provide.

I wasn't eluding to the aluminum making a difference it was just to differentiate from stock. I understand the even pressure/load that multiple pistons can offer, however I am not convinced it always works especially from pieces cobbled from other car kits. My point is that I have seen enough BBK's that don't perform and don't see why throwing brakes that "fit" on would perform better than stock without "tuning" the whole braking system ie bias and rear upgrade.

^^ ok, BBK kits are not for everybody, just like 22" rims. I mean we can go back and forth as there are pros and cons to everyting.
As far as upgrading stock calipers with better pads and SS lines, its a no brainer and would def help.

The upgrade i proposed for the rear is merely vented calipers. Right now on ebay, there are G35/350Z calipers front and rear FS. Its a slight upgrade from stock, and it bolts right on. I was merely suggesting, that even buying rear calipers for the Max from a G/Z will give vented discs as opposed to solid disc, which helps dissipate heat, even though rears dont work as hard. It wont affect bias since they are the same size discs and our brakes compensate for bias anyway.
