Grinding Noise

I have an 04, and have noticed a grinding noise when accelerating or turning when I first start driving. The noise eventually goes away. I took it to the dealership and they claimed they fixed it, claiming it to be a known recall, but I still hear the same noise. Anyone experience such a problem? Kind of almost sounds like metal grinding... My ride is completely stock, except for the catback system but the noise was there prior.

i hear something now that only happens when i come to a COMPLETE stop... Once i stop then start up again.. at the begin of first gear around 2500-3000 it sounds like some "rattle" like a heat sheald or something like that... Only when i come to a COMPLTE stop then start again... weird stuff...

It's the exhaust bracket...at least that's what was said on the other org. I plan to check it out tomorrow while I lube up by RSB bushings and check out the labor for the FSB/MMI

This may be a stupid question, but if I installed a new catback, with two mufflers, would the exhaust brackets still be making the same noise?

Yes because even with a catback system the bracket is still there...

The noise is also coming from the front of the car, not the rear

So what would be the next step? I've taken it twice to the dealership and they claim they fix the problem but never do. The noise from the exhaust doesn't help to hear the problem also =)

Take it somewhere that you know the mechanic and both of you look under it at the exhaust brackets and then have them re-weld it? That's my best guess

The bracket is located just forward of the firewall on the drivers side so yes the noise would be coming from the front if it's truely the problem...
