Weak Stomach beware!!!

Yes I have done the unthinkable!
Turn off your computer before it's too late!!!
I know "dude you can't do that" yada, yada, yada...
Quit your whining. They are MY springs.
Disclaimer: Do not try this at home.
Let the flaming begin...

.................................................. ......................

I cut my Progress springs in the front to level the car out.

After hard thinking about the overall design of the strut mechanism and spring rubber seats I decided that a *mild* amount would be just fine. So I cut just under 1/4 turn. Knowing it would stiffen the spring rate a bit I threw the OEM's back on until I could afford the Konis.

The fronts measured from ground to wheelwell before 27.5 inches. After the cut she measured 27 inches on the fronts. The rears (with low fuel level) measures 27 1/4 inches.
Yes I have *front end higher than rear end phobia.

The handling has improved, better looking, great ride quality, and no noises. Needless to say I am pleased.

I cut the first spring with this...

I insured equal drop on both sides by utilizing the piece I just cut off

As you can see they are equal

I wanted to show you they fit perfectly in the strut...

Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to install my raceingline endlinks on right now. Stay tuned...

If they don't hold "up" in the long run I'll be even happier.

I have started the "racingline endlinks" install.
I recommend getting comfortable under a car.
I utilize a down feather pillow on top of a creeper (I'm trying to get a patent for this). A brother's got to be comfy!

This first picture I overexposed on purpose so you could really see the leveling. It is perfectly level even with 3/4 tank of gas and subwoofer in trunk.

Another shot at the leveling. From the ground to the wheelwells in the front and back 27 inches on the nose!

There is no question, my car is one of the best riding, best handling cars on the road (self proclaimed). Potholes-no prob, very curvy-no prob, front bumper going over anything that is 7 inches off the ground-prob.

Regarding the DIPC600 (Down Injected Pillow Creeper W/600 thread count), my lawyer (as soon as I can find a willing one that won't have me thrown out of his/her office) will take down any copycats.

Patent very pending...
