350Z rear brake conversion - INSTALLED!!!
The 350Z brakes fit perfectly, both the rotors and calipers bolt right on. The rotors are twice as thick as the Maxima rotors due to the ventilation. I happened to find a company called http://forums.maxima.org/6th-generat....rotorpros.com that makes custom rotors. I ordered cross drilled, slotted and painted rotors for a 2003 350Z. What I got looked like works of art that could be hung up on the wall. Don't believe me?
See for yourself:

OK, ok, painting the calipers doesnt hurt the look either!!! By hte way, I got a full set of 350z front and rear rotors calipers and brake lines for about $70 on ebay I just needed the rear calipers, so Ill store the rest of the parts.
Here is a pic showing the difference in thickness of the rotors:

The calipers look similar to each other except the 350Z calipers are slightly wider and a bit beefier overall.

NICE!
That's beautiful, but dang-it, I just did my rotors/brakes & never realized the Z's rears were vented! Your rear brakes are cooler than mine!
It's also good to see that you installed the rotors with the slots in the correct direction, though I'm surprised you didn't go with some SS lines while you were in there.

The Lone Pine Time Trials is a high speed autocross that takes place in Lone Pine, CA. Lone Pine is up highway 395 on the way to Mammoth Lake in teh eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. The "track" is located about 10 miles north of Lone Pine at an abandoned airstrip. Last year I hit about 110 mph on the back staightaway. I think that was the top speed for the event!!! I was 4th top time of day also. The competitors are no slouches either. Anyway, its lots of fun. This year it is June 2-3. PM me for more info.

Its hard to explain. The course is set up so there are large loops with straightaways on either side. U round the turn and head down the staight and brake just before a slalom of cones, and so forth. Ud have to go there.
The rotors weigh about the same since the thickness is due to the ventilation

Calipers are very similar. They are slightly wider to fit the thicker 350z rotor and they are a bit beefier all around. Ill try to get a pic of the two calipers side by side later today when paint dries.

*****UPDATE*****
I examined the calipers, and I noticed a major benefit to the 350Z caliper. When I pulled the pads to compare, it confirmed the benefit as shown in the pictures here:
Look at the piston on the left compared to the 350z piston on the right

Look at the Maxima pad and the piston ring on top versus the piston ring on the 350Z pad on bottom.

The 350Z piston is HUGE compared to the Maxima piston. Same pad, bigger piston, better braking. This is a true big brake kit!!!
More pics:

The brakes are more responsive and firmer. Also, I adjusted the parking brake which was loose before. Now it only takes 7 clicks of the handle to hold the car. They really look great under the rims too. This can all be done for about $200.
My thanks to KAMSKI for his immense help. Also, thanks to Rich at www.rotorpros.com for producing a nice product. He can do all your rotors like this, whether its 350z or OEM Maxima, or other applications, and was very good to deal with. It takes collaboration and teamwork to get projects like this going and completed.

I drove the car quite a bit last night. I really love the way the brakes modulate. They arent grabby at all, but they feel very solid, more than before. I am very pleased with this upgrade.
Very Nice, I'll be doing a brake upgrade in the future, the stopping ability of this car has me questioning it, how does it brake after they heat up
Quick side question, How do you bleed the brakes
