RS-A's

Is it possible for the tires to slide around past 20mph? Just asking because I think my tires might not be getting traction even through 2nd gear. I don't have traction control so I don't know. This is the most powerful vehicle I've owned and it has burned rubber around 20mph as I'm turning a corner and accelerating. The shifting in first and second gear is not consistant and I wonder if the tires are bad. I avoid burning rubber off the line because the car won't go any where.

The RSA's are known to be shietty! check your sidewalls and I guarantee you have cracks everywhere. Look into some Falken's or some Toyo tires as your next mod

RSA are OK tires, I have 30k on mine and will be replacing them soon, no cracks at all, their easy to slide with so I avoid that, but you really gotta push the car to slide, most of my turns are either from a slow roll or a stop, I get enough looks from the surrounding neighbors don't need more attention cause Im drifting around corners

I hated my RS-As, and replaced them with Bridgestone Potenza RE960s. Couldn't be happier. Difference is night and day. Tires aren't squealing when taking turns like they did with the RS-As.

I think I drifted yesterday, cars behind me didn't follow to closely? It was funny to me because I wasn't even trying. I can feel the front tires pulling the car straight.

I'm waiting for mine to crack, but looks like they are from the good batch (24k miles so far). They are good for average daily driving, but great for FWD drifting...

Take them off and check the inside sidewall... that's mainly where my HUGE cracks were

I've had mine for 35k miles now and the outside is starting to wear out more than the inside. I'm really starting to hate them, the car isnt handling as good as it did when the tires were newer. Not that they were that great in the first place, but I used to be able to make sudden 90 degree turns at around 30mph with no drama, now its not possible. BTW, could it be alignment issues if the outside is wearing out more?

I put it on the lift every oil change and check. I think some of them were over baked when they were made

also, check how much air you have in your tires. You should always keep it around 32psi + or - a few depending on if you want a smoother ride or better gas mileage

i just bought my maxima a few months ago and have 30.5K on the tires now. last week i was driving to work and turning the same corner i turn everyday but going a litter faster and felt like i had no control of the car at all. i was only going like 45mph but it was a pretty sharp curve. do ya'll think that is a tire problem or me? i saw the tokyo drift movie but have never done it before. I felt like i was drifting though. there was a light mist going at the time also.
