Ok to kill the whole warranty part out. This car was bought in Jan of 2006 with 11k on it From Copart upstate NY. The car was branded a salvage title, so all warranty was voided, I still think it sucks but oh well gotta start driving a bit more reasonably.

well it was hit, the insurance declared it total, copart is the largest auction of salvage vechicles, im sure many of you know but ill do a quick run through anyway.
1.You buy a 2004 Nissan Maxima from the dealer,
blah blah
2. you crash your 2004 Nissan Maxima
3. Your insurance agent comes, looks at the damage says fk it , it will cost to much to fix, they issue you a check for the net worth of the car.
4. While you buy another car, that hit maxima is being sold to auctions.
5. Copart buys the car and then it goes on its website, its worldwide by the way.
6. A auto body garage bids on it, start at 12pm. my maxima went for $3200
from the auction.
7 The body shop then picks up the car that the customer ordered in my case its the maxima, and he fixes it, paint all body work. It then must pass inspection, once is passes its given a rebuilt title and it can be registered.
8. I paid $15.400 for my maxima in 2006(11k on it) that was the grand total out the door with registration and all taxes.
9. I saved about $8,000-12,000, the car was worth 24.500 On KBB at the time when i got it, so $15k and $24k is a big difference. This is my 5th car from copart.com, I was never disappointed, except for this recent tranny issue, but ill take the fault for it due to my driving.
A funny thing my friend was looking for a 2006 TL, he found one with light damage, we bid on it, and a fking guy from Germany outbid us, so its worldwide, but I mean as soon as the car comes to the delaership, a week later you will find it on copart. Alot of people hesitate to do this because they think oh i cant insure it, i cant register it, it will fall apart, that is so not true, at least half of my friends drive rebuilt cars, from maxima's to IS300's to the 2007 Camry, M5, 07G35 and TL, but anwayz i was bored so i felt like explaining the process of how the Salvage world works.
