Deal or no Deal?

After 8 years with my 99 max (176K) i decided to move on to another max. I bought a 2005 SL Smoke/Black with 7k on it for $19500 + tax. Its looks and drives like a new car, not even a scratch on it yet. Even came with a remote start and xm. So did i get a good deal?

I would think so. That actually sounds like retail to me. Don't second guess your already made decision. Instead, go out and enjoy your new addition.

Post some pics, we must be properly introduced.

not really second guessing my decision, only thing i was second guessing a few days after i bought it was that it wasn't an SE. Will post some pics when i get some mods done. Put in K&N filter (temporarily), got my tints done a few days ago, next is the grill (freakin hate the look of the one on an 05).

Thats a little more what then I paid after tax and dmv fees. Its seemed very hard to find a clean max in the NYC area in a color I wanted when I was looking, so I jumped on this one even though it wasn't an SE. Happy with my purchase, just hope it last as long as my 99 max.

good deal, the car and mileage you mention should probably go for low to mid 20's, seems odd you say it drives like new with only 7000 miles cause I would hope so and your SL dilemma, your closer to having an SE than you think, not much different between SL and SE except minor stuff

That's true Starr. He drops that baby and adds rims, he's almost done with his SL-SE conversion.
