BBK Upgrade Question?

Hey guys, I know this was answered a while back but I can't find the origional post. I am thinking about buying the 4 piston Wilwood brake upgrade. I want to know what size spacers I need to get to use these brakes with the stock 18" wheels.

or you can get the 6POT calipers and not have to get spacers...

$30 spacers? < few hundred dollars more for a 6POT kit

NOT TRUE. The 6 piston calipers don't clear the stock 18" even with 8mm spacers.

I understand, Kamski did say somewhere that the 6 POT were smaller and should fit just fine. They are not. I tried stock 18s and they didn't fit with 8 mm. I have 10mm spacers on my car so at some point I'll ask my bro to try it on again.

Yes I did, I was told by the guy that makes the kit that the 6Pot would clear easily but the 4Pot would need the spacers (bigger outer body). There are two types the SL6 and SL6R 6 pot calipers, the R version is the reduced sized one that was apparantly supposed to fit. But based on Xoomers experience it did not. Unelss he got the SL6 and not the SL6R.

I still only got the 4Pot and I use a 5mm spacer with my stock rims (very seldom). So that I could match it up to a rear kit.
