Tinted Tails

If you don't count the system that I no longer have, this is my first 'mod'. I'm doing the brakes and rotors tomorrow. Anyway, I tinted my tails and I must say they came out pretty good. I did 35% and I paid 30 bux for the tint. Was a pain in the a$$ to install but it came out well. Not sure if I want to do the headlights or pay to have em done.

My original order had 20% but I didn't think they'd look good with my color so i went to 35.

Wasn't really window tint. It was like some kind of static stuff. It peels right off. There was no sticky film on it. I had to take it off a few times and put it back on to get it to adhere properly, so i'm curious as to how long my $30 will last.

Yes, it was precut and I had to wet the tails and the film. Use SOAPY Water ... very important. The instructions said to use regular water but it wasn't friendly to me and I remembered trying to tint car windows for the first time and I grabbed some soapy water and it worked a lot better.

Whatever it is ... you can get it on EBAY!!! ebay userid was yesevo .
The tint comes a little smaller than the light and they say you need to stretch it. It stretched pretty well but took a while to get it close to covering everything. There's another one called rvinyl that I think i'm going to look into for the headlights.

Very clean look. It'll probably look real ricey, but have you thought about tinting your headlights considering you've done your tail lights already?

I love it! Looks real sharp, and i believe it sets off the reflector element in the taillight itself. Just make sure you got nice bright lights in there, maybe try doing an LED mod.

Unfadeable: Where did you get ur ticket. It seems LA County is hot for tint tickets and no-front-plate tickets. Im in SB County but still got hassled there too.

I dont think so. In california, you have to have red showing. My last tails didnt have red showing. Was all black.

You should be ok. The important thing is that your reflectors are still visible. The tint I use on my Overlays looks similar to those, and I've never had any issues .
