They said a reflash was necessary to adjust the idle with the intake. Ive been reading some pages on here about the intakes and it seems that they offer no real power increases on these cars, unlike Mustangs which intakes make huge gains. Maybe I wont bother, especially since I am only interested in performance and not sound. I guess if I want 350z performance I will have to trade on one, even tho its the same powertrain in the max they seem difficult and expensive to tune.

I just got a quote from this exact shop since they're 10 minutes away from me.

2.5" pipe, cat-back, mandrel bent, I supply the mufflers.....$275.

The same w/ a resonator (which he highly recommended) $350.

Oh and one follow up, the quality of these REMUS are amazing, they clean up so easy and still look brand spanking new. I will admit, I like standing away from my car and watching people walk by my ride commenting on how beautiful they look, some even take pictures with camera phones and the triple bonus is when people are around and I start my Max up, almost every head turns to hear where that smooth exhaust note is coming from!!!

Matt, your **** rocks!!!

Dang. Yeah $700+ for a set of Twin Turbo's is pretty pricey, then installation charges. Matt I love this stuff but I may have to stick with my MagnaFlow's. Chern I just listened to your $hit again on youtube, gotdayim it sounds tight! How much of a "sound" diff did the headers make?

The headers by far give it the deep throaty tone, not to mention the rumble under the hood where people realize there is more under the hood then just another V6. I do attribute my sound to the combination of all the intake/exhaust mods combined, the REMUS act like my high end speakers pumping out the quality sound...

I wish I could but I just brought the spacers and had them installed and waiting for the Apex to come in and have that installed. I need the car tuned with all the stuff I have installed. Maybe some in my family will buy it for me when I turn 61 in Nov. lol

I went ahead and ordered a pair of the twin angled.

I'll post some pics next week.

BTW...the exhaust tips....keep them tucked like the OEM's are now or bring them out a little further?

When I got my Magnaflows they pushed them out a bit further than normal. At first I loved it but ultimately I wished they would have went a bit more conservative and pulled 'me back a little. Ultimately personal pref though, but make sure you discuss it with the exhaust guys to get a feel for what would look good before you take the final plung. e

I must admit after numerous shows and meets this year, some want a closer look of exactly what is coming out the back of my Max with such an awesome sound and they see REMUS, 90%+ walk away with their thumbs in he air (LOL, not their forefinger). In person ZERO hate so that's all that matters to me, do whats right for you...

Man Chern, there is no doubt that REMUS setup you have kicks a serious amount of A$$. Hell I listen to your youtube videos often to give me a warm fuzzy and a semi at the same time! I think I'm just gonna upgrade my current Magnaflow setup to the Turbo's though and see what happens.

I take it you don't miss your GReddy setup eh?

I loved my GReddy's (2+ years), IMO an awesome sound, I just knew the REMUS mufflers were a step up and I was proud to be selected as one of the first to install them on a 6th Gen Max and post Pictures, Sound VIDs, etc. so other Max owners had an opportunity to make better choices of the different exhaust setups available for our 6th Gens. Not bragging, Informing...

PS, The head turning helps...

You think those twin turbo's would look overpowering w/ a stock rear bumper?

I went w/ the twin angled because they're a little more subtle. On Cherns car they look great, but he has more agressive bodywork w/ the stillen rear.

Plus+ I truly have a future goal of dropping a Turbo in my Max (and I'll do IT :-)) When I discussed this with my bro at REMUS, we came to a comparable agreement that these would fully support my future needs so I slapped them on and I was willing to sacrifice some minor low end torque in the meantime but GOD DAMN in the Mid to High range the car is a rocket!!!

JG I'll have to be honest. I do not like those twin angled. The straight pipe coming out the back look has always been sharp to me but I'll try to reserve too much judgement until you post pics.

Dang Chern, going with a Turbo setup. That'll be SICK!! I can't wait to see it bro.

Sounds like Cattman will be coming out with an updated exhaust for the 6th gens here soon. He's actually taking pre-orders right now for something like $789 when purchased with the Y-Pipe. I'm trying to decide what I want more, the Kinetix or the catback.

I actualy changed my order last night...going w/ the turbo's instead. I think they'll go well w/ my car as long as I keep the tips where they're at now.

Good damn question. If I have time I may just head up to my exhaust shop today and see what they have in stock and chat a bit. I feel lucky because they are a bunch of good ol' boys that know their $hit when it comes to exhaust, and of course they are Magnaflow ****** as well. I'll keep you posted man.

Well I chickened out on the Twin Turbo's and went back w/ the twin angled. I did some measuring and those turbo's would have been huge on my back bumper

Man, I'm not a huge fan of the slightly squared off tips, but regardless, those *****'s look BAAAAAAD. Can't wait to see 'em on though and hear that sweet low REMUS rumble!
