Yes, I used this kit when I replaced the Bose with an aftermarket, single DIN unit. Looks good. However, there's a fairly large gap between the cd pocket and the bottom of the aftermarket HU (yes, I used the faceplate. the gap is between the top of that portion and the radio). Had to use a black Sharpie to color the metal sleeve on the bottom of the radio to keep it from glaring at me.

Personally, if I could find another company that made these using metal instead of plastic for the inside bracket/holder I'd buy it. It's, really, pretty flimsy.

Just wondering why did you decide to take out the bose unit..I plan on doing this, but most likely going to get a double din unit, like a d3..

Mainly because the sound quality stinks, on the Bose head unit I will, also, be replacing the Bose amps and speakers (which, also, stink).

What Blackmax07 said... It's only inputs came from the head unit. So, it's quite dead weight now. Good thing the only use I had for it was the temperature reading

They should make a kit where we can relocate the info screens to the bottom, under the temp guages, and then where the info screen is put like a 7'' tv, and underneath have the double din, now that would look hot.

Blackmax07.... I totally agree with you....

at least they should come up with some adapter that allow the screen to display the other vital info such as MPG, MPH, DTE etc...

I would love to see a diagnostics readout or something to 'skin' into that display. Maybe have digital animations of analog readouts for voltage, oil pressure, AFR, etc..

EDIT: anyone an EE? splice that screen into an AFC
