Kinetix SSV IM

hey guys, there are some really great deals going on for this IM. my question is would this lean out the A/F ratio too much where a piggyback controller would be needed to add some more fuel throughout the mid to upper rpm range? i know the spacers are fine [as per aaron] that doesnt mess with anything. thanks!

Get an dyno w/ AF and see where your car is at. Seems simple to me.

"If your only hold out is does it really make power then it is time to buy it , because it is making power and torque the way Kinetixracing said it would.
I just got back from my dyno with the kinetix manifold on a dyno dynamics dyno which dynos about 10% lower than a dynojet so if you add 10% to these numbers that will by my true wheel horsepower. Before
the manifold 196WHP & 184ft. lbs. of torque w/Nitrous 241WHP & 228ft.lbs of torque. After the Kinetix Manifold 206WHP & 198.5ft.lbs. of torque the kinetix manifold loves nitrous a whopping 259WHP &263 ft.lbs. of torque. on a dyno jet my numbers would be about 284WHP &290ft.lbs of torque w/nitrous and thats without headers and a downpipe. The math reads 10WHP & 14ft.lbs of torque gain and w/ nitrous 18WHP &35ft.lbs of torque gain for $833.00 and you can install it yourself it is definitely worth every penny. So my hat is off to KinetixRacing for a great product and the R&D for our community so stop bashing them based on what others say or based on the G35 & 350Z our cars are similar but different. Thanks! Kinetix!
Oh! you still want to see the dyno results I am waiting on them to email me the results I am having problems with my scanner. I will post them on car domain. I was Sceptical but now I,m Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

If it wasn't done on a Dynojet, I could care less what anyone's theory is/was.

Just a question but you get 10 hp about for $800. Buy the composite intake spacers for about $225 and get 10 hp. Which is really worth the benefit?

Get an exhaust and it's only 10-12whp and costs roughly $900...

You have to realize that our cars are still relatively new to the mod market and not too many people make stuff for it, and the ones that do KNOW they can make a nice profit because they are either 1 of 2 or just 1 producing the product.

Supply and Demand yo

Think I would get the y pipe and intake spacers before the kinetix. I already have a custom rear exhaust and my fujita.

Gaining real power out of these engines is headers and tuning.

Were those numbers with your CAI, TS reflash, and spacers already installed? Or did you install the spacers with the I.M.? (I would expect the numbers to be a bit higher with all those mods - even after adding 10%.)
Thanks for the update - I'm sure we're all looking foward to seeing those dynos.

ECU is reflashed and I sometimes splash with 100 octane to raise it to 93-95 octane. I also have the spacers too.

Those were not my numbers.

Here are my numbers
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=516210

I might plan on getting the IM though if the price is right, and I think I've found a pretty cheap place, but I'm not 100% positive yet.

OOPS, I should've noticed the quotes and the referenced name (sorry).

Just to let you guys know, I've recently installed the Kinetix & spacers. At first, I wasn't sure if I gained anything. It felt different - the pedal was a touch less responsive from a dead stop (& up to 3500RPM) but the car seemed to pull a little harder above 4K. After almost a week, it opened up in the 2500-4K range. And after a week or 2, I got my low end torque back. The car seemed to get better every day.

Overall impressions (it's now been 3 weeks): it feels like I get pushed harder into my seat than before -and that push seems to last longer. The engine sounds smoother & more effortless & the tone is a little lower. I think my street times are better as I now seem to hit higher speeds at certain landmarks. I also feel like I'm feathering the gas more when following other cars. Unfortunately, I don't have any dynos or timeslips, so you can take all this with a grain of salt, but these are my impressions so far.
I'd love to see some dynos & slips other than the Altima one.
